Let your Team Copeland Flag fly!!! (Flag-Bearers wanted.)

Postby smudge on 03 Aug 2007 17:04

God - having read the MSG flag pointing posts I'm hugely relieved Kimmy is taking on responsibilities in Cardiff. No chance of a spot from my seat! And Dietmar let me know how A2 works out at Twickers. I'm a few rows further back on the 9th - worried about line of sight to the drum riser.

Oh - and I haven't said this yet - but DM, LOOK WHAT YOU DID, you AWESOME person you! I've been on all manner of music related lists/forums since about 95, and this tops anything that I've ever come across for sheer brilliance on so many levels I can't begin to list them all.

Funny, Kate -- when I say it, it's usually phrased as WHAT DID I DO?!? or WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?

(But thank you.)

Dietmar, at a quick glance I foresee all kinds of drama and problems with the shows on your list, so be prepared. But I'll look into it next week and get back to you.

Hi Drummer Dave F,

I'm meg from LA and I have Wellington already! I am going to Auckland as well and MAY have flag duty there as well-pending travel and flag shipping.

We'll DEFINITELY have to meet up for flag signing etc before the show and if it makes sense (and have another shot), I'll pass duties over to you.

I used to live in AKL and still have an office there- hence my trip!
You get to pick the pub near westpac tho- email me at mtobinjones@hotmail.com

WOOO HOOO!

I can feel a smile growing over my face that'll be hard to wipe off. Feels like the grin I've had on certain chemicals in my earlier musician days. I didn't ever think I'd get it naturally.

From :? to :) and getting towards :D

Anyone got any good tips on how to actually meet Stewart and shake his hand? I'd love to thank him for being such an inspiration. I think I could die content a minute later.

Welcome Dave!!
I'm soooo excited for you. That's just how I felt when I got my Hershey tickets. I got them while I was at work and I was just bursting to tell someone I was so happy. (The people who I worked with at the time wouldn't have understood, though) You're in good company here, though!
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

Hola, Copelanders.

I'll be dealing with Flag logistics over the next couple of days, with priority going to the ever-changing Europe schedule. So EUROPEANS, please keep an eye on your inbox.

Reminder: if anyone would like to volunteer, please email me with your user name, real name, and the ACTUAL locations and dates of the shows for which you are attending/volunteering. There are way too many volunteers for me to be slogging through threads and dealing with mythical tour dates.

If you don't email me with precise info, you don't get on the waiting list. Capisce?

Thanks to the generosity of Dietmar -- who will hate me for saying this but can be described as nothing short of FUCKING FABULOUS -- the Flag is going to make a bunch of new tour stops. However, it means that the entire Flag Schedule is about to change. So please be prepared for a whole new game plan in your inbox very soon.

Thanks, everyone.
