Get Together for SC apperarance?

Have us SC Nutters started planning a get together for his in store appearance. All I know is I will be there. Let me know what is planned so I can meet up with you folks. You guys are way awesome. Thanks.

I agree...who will be at the apperance? Me (irishrose...aka Shannon) and .....(your name) so we can get some kind of gathering information started and perhaps a good location for a pre appearance get together. I am thinking someplace close to GC to begin with, so it will be easier to get to. and maybe after wards we can do the backstage cafe. I would love to go there. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.

I think we should definitely have a list going - a few people chimed in on the original thread by Kalypso. I know she'll be there, as will I.

That being said, I agree - we should consider meeting beforehand to say hi, but since we'll be waiting in line for god-knows-how-many hours, I was thinking we'd meet up afterwards for a real chat, maybe Backstage or a Hollywood haunt.

My concern about the beforehand is people are coming in from out-of-town and others are taking off work (me!) so I think many people will be coming at different times.

I just went to mapquest and figured out that Backstage Cafe is not far from the apperarance...duh. Yes, lets just meet up there. I guess what we can do now is just get an approximate number and make the reservation accordingly. Sorry. I am in NM right now..and not too familiar with Southern CA..I am originally from SF bay area....go figure. God I am so excited...the thought of being there. Wow I can not wait. This is gonna be awesome.

It's definitely not far in miles so it shouldn't take long if we go afterwards.

but beforehand (during rush hour), it could take forever to get to GC because that is right thru the middle of town.

I highly doubt we'll need a reservation - it doesn't get that busy on weeknights. but I can find out if anything is going on that night.

I hope to make it inside the Guitar Center, it's all I can say. With planes, our work schedule and LA traffic... I have been given no guarantee by Mike that I will get in, despite coming from out of town on a working day. I am trying to convince hubby to stay the night in LA so that I can go to the BC for the 1st time (how was I to know? The times I have been in LA before I have always been bored to death and stuck in traffic...I hated even Rodeo Drive!). Of course he has a meeting Friday morning and wants to take a night flight to SF!
Well, l will look around for SC.netters, I cannot give specifics on my looks or on what I will be wearing, I am still very wary of who might lurk online.

Equalizer, you live in LA, there is no problem for you, you can show up as early as you like, go in and ask the ppl working there what is the best time. I could not even get this kind of answer by email.

I think as the event gets closer, we can call GC & see what they advise on how early they will let people line up. Equalizer, I was thinking 5pm? I don't know.... still thinking about it. dammit, if this was a film thing I could get some sort of pull but I am not connected to GC - wish I knew someone who works there!
