I am screaming like a girl....

Postby irishrose1969 on 31 Jul 2007 05:01

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Hell yeah I will be there....oh my god. I don't care about having to drive to get there. I can only hope I will be back in Vegas before then to make the drive a little less stressful. I am temporarily in Albuequerque NM but no matter. Plan to be there. I so bad wanted to meet with him at the MGM show, but no luck. Damn Straight gonna make it a point to be there.

I am so happy. I got my Autographed poster earlier this week...Fan club one of course. Then got my Lynn Goldsmith book yesterday with that one pic of Stewart that "should have come with a health warning" LMAO. I found one better. In Mojo magazine...oh my. There is this pic with just a peaksie of Stewart with no shirt on..love it. Since I am not computer savvy...maybe someone can go to Borders books and look for this magazine and put this pic on here. Oh my. Its gorgeous.

This just made my week. Thanks Stewart! Luv Ya.

Mike,
Sorry. The idea was raised but nixed by Dirty Martini, who is pretty much controls all things related to the flag. I think the SCnutters pretty much are all willing to defer to her on flag issues. Feel free to ask her again, but I think she put some thought into the proposal.

PS Your group is great!

thanks for the kind words about the band... we love doing it!!!

as for the flag- I just thought it'd be cool to have something like that there. If it's not possible, then no biggie....

Mike,

I think the Guitar Center is not equipped with material for the protection of public from biological weapons of mass destruction (I think that is the state of the Flag right now)...
weasel, I know EXACTLY what you mean.
I figured you would, M.

My office is filled with shit that was sent to me from various artists over the years. Not to sound unappreciative, but I'm painfully aware that most of this crap was unceremoniously signed in groups of 500, with the artist sitting there with a Sharpie and sore wrist, hating the fact that they had to do this, like an athlete at a sports memorabilia show.

However, if it's something personal and unique, or something that the person did specifically for me, then I really dig it.

Yo Mike,

But why did you were so discouraging about it being huge and not sure ppl could get in?
I know it is not your responsibility, but mine, to get there on time, but, given that it is during the week, I reach for my Valium at the mere thought of snags (like getting out of LAX on time)....

If I came across as discouraging- apologies...

As for a specific time to show up...hmmm let's put it this way. The biggest events I've been involved with at GC have seen 200+ people show up, lined up down Sunset Bl. and around the corner behind the building (mind you, it's a BIG building). These people showed up starting at 10am and waited all day. Is this going to be the case this time?? I honestly don't know- I've got to imagine that it's gonna be huge given what's going on.

I just want everyone to be happy.... is that so wrong??

Nothing is wrong Mike, I know you are a real cool guy.

I always remember you gave to me a pair of SC dumsticks to my son...

Congratxxxx for your next Stewart's presentation...

Nah, it's not, and I have taken responsibility for the ball being in my court.
I have been to some book signings of both artists and writers, some much less famous than Stewart, but also in bookstores, which are much smaller than the GC, and you are right, there are lines around the block.
I always got in, I only didn't when Bill Clinton came.

This, though, would be the first event of this kind I would fly to, and having to stay the night. Hence my panick. I am panicky anyway, so no biggie and my bad, Mike.

Well, they open at 10 a.m. , so I guess I'll be there at 10. I've really got nothing better to do that day considering that I am taking that day off of work for the event. Yup, that nut in the Leroy shirt standing in front of the store nine hours before the event will be me. God, I can imagine Stewart reading this post and then immediately working on getting a restraining order.
