Lady is no longer smiling but looking at my t-shirt, which I had had to explain (and therefore share the stewart love all over) to many. It's Trudie! oh. pooh.
OH, SHIT! HA!

We are so putting Sting into therapy by the end of this tour.

Forgive us, Stewart.
The DBL point - and a fabulous show - wooo hooo! Are these guys hot or what?! Stewart, you're the best!
Skip, it *is* such a thrill and kind of weird when you think that Stewart is looking for YOU and the flag! *shudder* YOU are the link between him and the SC.netters.

mt, Trudie pursing her lips, HAHAHAHA! Too bad you didn't have the flag!!
Not that it's a competition or anything. I just wonder what they really think.
The Stingo disciples should select someone at each show to do a downward dog that he has to spot.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

Stu was incredible.
I thought he was at his best on Driven To Tears.
Any comments?
The whole show was amazing.
I've waited 20 years to see them, and am still getting verklempt now
thinking about it. I was 14 when they were last in New England,
so I thought I would never get the chance to see them.
Thank you boys.
If anyone even thinks about debating who is the best band in the
hostory of rock, well there's gonna be a fight.

I thought the Projo review already linked was better, but here are 2 more from the Boston papers.

Both reviews say nice things about Stewart's mastery and polyrhythmic style, but note that the Boston Herald photo gallery has zero (zilch, none, nada) pictures of him. They do have some charmingly amusing pics of Sting, though, who looks like he's having a good time.

Oh, and did I mention I put a little sc.net flavor on the flag?

I did the standard screen name sign, but now, small at the bottom on the back it has a very sc.net slogan.

Any guesses?

PS thanks- I wasn't going to do a musical review- there are loads of them and I don't think I could even come close to doing it justice!

What does 'verklempt' mean in english? I've always wondered. Is it an an actual word?
That last question has to be the funniest ever. Thank you, shyvixen.

I guess if I'm going to insist on posting things before I've had any coffee the least I can do is be entertaining.

Great reveiw mtobinjones - too funny! I wonder if Trudie said anything to Sting or Stewart after the show? Nah, probably not.

Only on Sc.net can you find reviews, where's waldo (pertaining to the flag) and get a language lesson all in the same thread.

Are we all just freakin' nuts or what

WHERE do i begin???

first, i will apologize for not checking in with everyone sooner. i was a freakin wreck after the show. i was drinking so heavily with meg and dave - and only had like 3 nachos at the bar - i needed to eat, get a cab and go back to the room and get some sleep! then my internet time expired and i didn't feel like paying the outrageous fee of $15 to post and decided to wait until i got home... which is about an hour ago.

time out... mtobinjones is texting me from the concert as i type.

HAHA! it's a video of the concert tonight! she's a trip

anyway, on the way to the venue, it started to rain... i'm not just talking rain here... this was huge downpour, flash flood, crazy rain. we get out of the cab and slide/swim our way to the beer works to meet dave & skip. dave spotted us right away & skip followed a minute or two later - great guys!!! hugs all around. signed the flag, photo documented the moment and took a deep breath - yes, i just signed the flag, this is real - quite and honor. sat down, tried to eat - too excited and i want to get my drink on, so i throw a couple of chips in my mouth. there is no liquor in this joint, so we move on to C&F. just as i'm standing outside texting megan, she jumps out in front of me with her bright yellow rain parka & tube socks and we scream and hug... what a meeting! i feel like i've just met a friend that i haven't seen in years. so we suck back MANY drinks, chat laugh, take pictures - it's a love fest.

totally missed fiction plane - having too much damn fun! get into fenway, get in the beer line and double fist it down on the floor as MIAB gets under way. i would love to say that i'll be semi-sober for one of these shows, but it doesn't look good for this wednesday at msg either. oh well. life is a party.

note: husband met fiction plane and got an autograph for me. i fully intend to catch their show this time around. missed them both times i have gone so far. doh!

the concert was great of course. they are truly incredible. my husband likes the police, but he's not a real fan. he was blown away! i was dancing, claping, eyohing, singing and screaming the entire show... no down time at all. at one point ( i can't remember what song ) i reached behind me and grabbed this guy's shirt, pulled him to me and sang in his face. i was WILD. his lady friend gave me a funny look and i realized that probably wasn't the best move and turned and grabbed my own man's shirt and was screaming at him with excitement. my seats were really expensive and weren't that great. i was in the second section from the stage and i couldn't really see them - had to rely on the screens. got plenty of video. sting did not hit all the high notes, but honestly, i could care less. i have such a blast at these shows and i'm living in the moment - and a fabulous moment it is. when it's over, i'll accept it and just be happy that i had this experience, but i'm going to grab as much as i can in the mean time!

i did not see any flag pointing during the show, but as soon as they were done, stewart jumped from the kit and immediately shielded his eyes to look for the flag. he went directly to where skip was supposed to be and pointed, but now i realize that maybe he was just doing that because he thought it was there, but didn't see it. then he went center stage and was really pointing and i was wondering who he was pointing at... thinking megan was up there flashing her shirt or something. i now know because of skip's post that it was in fact him with the flag! i'm so glad that he had that experience! i bet it was fantastic!

meg, dave, skip - it was so great to meet all of you! thanks for a wonderful experience! there are such great people on here. i have NEVER posted on any forum - this is my first - and what a truly good time it is.

i couldn't meet up after the show because of my state (too drunk and tired). i did go to the meeting spot after the show, but megan was trying to get backstage and we had to leave and go to bed! i'm such a wuss anymore!

so, i will post the video as soon as i can and provide a link. i am going to upload some pics and post them here too in a bit. i'm pretty freaking tired though, so it might be tomorrow night at this point!

i hope everyone had a great time at tonights show and i'll see the next group in NYC this week! take care!

ps... i know what megan wrote on the flag - tee hee. sorry you had to run into trudie... i hope her gaze didn't turn you to stone. ah, i don't know the woman, i guess i should be nice, but i make no apologies for being the better fans. that is just too bad if she doesn't like that the other members of the band have fans too.

Awwww. Killing me. I feel so guilty now! Sorry, Stewart! I wasn't leading you astray! I swear!

Please don't smite me.

And thank you, Stewart.
