Excellent work, Skip. So glad Stewart found the flag. I don't know why, but the fact that you moved to be in a better position and saw that Stewart was looking for you at your original position...well...that just gets me verklempt. It just warms my heart that Stewart is actually looking for the flag.

Uh oh, did I use a bad word? I was just quoting Mike Myers' "Coffee Talk" character on Saturday Night Live. Do I have to go look this up or are you going to tell me?

I looked it up on the urban dictionary - I mean the way Americans use it!
You can get away with it the way you used it.
"Verklemmt" really means you are not open to some flirting, sexual tension, bad words, bad pictures, kissing in public and that kind of stuff!
And lets fucking face it NOBODY who is even slightly verklemmt would survive one bloody day on sc.net!!!!
The spelling "verklempt" is just done so Americans pronunce it close to the german original ... !
It started pouring rain late afternoon, but things cleared up by 7:00 and not a drop for the rest of the evening.
That's the second time in two weeks that Krypton power managed to prevent rain ... perhaps we should consider turning this power toward glacial melting  !

Sounds like a fantastic night!

That last question has to be the funniest ever. Thank you, shyvixen.

"Verklempt" is Yiddish. It essentially means "choked up." (Can it, phaty -- not that kind of choking.)

BTW, Skip. Is. Awesome.

And thank you, Stewart.

ooooooooh. my.aching.head.

Last night was an amazing if not slightly fuzzy experience. I wandered up to Boston Beer works and saw a gorgeous creature sucking back a nicotine stick in a white flag of copelandia t-shirt. Though I knew there would be a few, I knew it had to be policerule. Her husband tj beamed at me and knew my screen name as soon as I walked up. It was too sweet-he treated me like meeting a distant member of the family!

Went inside to meet Skip and sign the flag(my first in person signing). Some guy near skip tried to impersonate him, but I just knew who the real Skip was. It's interesting to note, that while neither looked like I "thought" they would, they were immediately recognizable, and totally stood out in that crowd.

SC.netters are without a doubt a unique bunch, and I mean that in the best of all possible ways. Intelligent, fun loving, passionate people. The lights are just on. Easy to spot.

The beer works was slammed and we adjourned to the Cask and Flagon(home of tonights hook up). Too many margaritas and tequila shots later, we also hit another couple of bars on the way into the gig(which is right outside-groan).
Being a small girl(yet another reason to LOVE tj-i'll take that compliment) and not having had food all day, I got very fun very fast. I apologize to me fellows if I was a doofus. I know you understand and still love me.

BTW, you were doofuses too, but it's ok. I still love ya.

OK, I guess you wanna know about the show. I did make it. Had good seats on the floor, second section back row 14. They were good and I could see. But I have to say I liked both my staples and dodger seats better- I was in the field boxes type sections for those and had a really great view of the stage.
They were smokin'-definitely getting tighter as they go. It having been a month+ since the last show I saw, I could definitely see a marked difference. A little more rockin, though I still struggle with some of the slowed down middle section.

stewart was definitely concentrating hard but having fun.

I went to the loo just before the encores and ran into an old colleague. They grabbed me and stood me behind the barracade stage right(Andy's side) and I just stood with some other friends and family. But my view of stew was pretty blocked. sad meg. Didn't have the heart to run off back to my seat.

Ok, funny part of the story.

There I was oblivious to all around and quite a bit drunk. Bopping away and the lady next to me, lugging a big GAP bag over her shoulder, smiled. I smile back, singing along, turn away and turn back.

Lady is no longer smiling but looking at my t-shirt, which I had had to explain (and therefore share the stewart love all over) to many. I notice and think here comes the "what does that mean" when I figure out who it is and notice the pursed lips and disapproving smirk.
It's Trudie! oh. pooh.

Me. I shrug my shoulders (well, I meant to, but can't really feel my shoulders and finish enjoying the show.

didn't get to meet up with prule,tj, dave or skip after but I just wanted to say thanks- really great to meet you all and I cannot wait until you all come to my hood for the Konvention next July.

Tonight, I order food first!
