Thank you, Laz..We say Spes Ultima Dea...*Hope last Goddess*

Phats uuuuhhhhhhhhh.......he might be cheap at times but ain't no mofo...
Besides, I am NOT going to generalize or raise a non-PC point of view, but I noticed, having many Jewish friends and relatives, how they ALL are much more careful with mazuma than us I-ties.
OTOH can assure you that hubby is a pearl on every other aspect and I love him very much. I followed him to the US leaving a good job and all that jazz behind, after all...we'll soon be married 9 years, which is a looong time these days.

Of course he couldn't be purrrrfect...

No, no, we are def. vanilla....Straight and to the point (no reference to Stew this time).
A couple in our bunch of friends are into that BDSM scene and they are the butt of so many jokes it's exhausting.

Of course that is NOTHING is SF...we are perceived mostly as two cute, cuddly, hobbity computer geeks with their small cottage in their small geeky world :D

No one is kinkier than hobbits. You haven't lived till you've seen hobbit porn.

I wouldn't consider spanking really BDSM. More like your typical Saturday night in San Fran!

'HOBBIT PORN'?

You mean there is something like Lord of the (C**k)Rings in circulation?

Well, now don't imagine Sam and his wife or Shrek and..ahem..Fiona...

We're just both not very tall or strongly built  We are cute innocent creatures...

Kali,

I thought we were planning the Konvention for next July 16th! You'll be making the roadtrip for that, right?

I am so very lucky. We've had our money fights over the years- it's where most fights come from with us. So, we have separate bank accounts. Now, I pay for more cause I make more these days. And I don't laud it or say a peep. But when I go a bit crazy with this, he just groans. It's my moola.

(I do believe he is using it to justify his xtreme sports gear purchases!)

you KNOW I'll be thinking of you in Boston this weekend- and I too am praying for more West Coast dates. Makes my addiction easier.

I can hear it now: "But you have seen them 7 times!" "Yes, but these are local and what is two more?"

mtob,

Everything on the West Coast is no prob. I will def. be there to celebrate Stu 56th!!

We have incorporated this year and we are both equal breadwinners (last year *I* was the major one) but, since if I was in charge of bookeeping and invoices we would be living in a hut in Winemucca, NE (with all due respect to the denizens of that du..town), hubby, with his Jewish superior math and US paperwork skills is the one that manages our money. He spends a lot of time and work on that. I am grateful to happily do my work and pass him the invoices, and get a paycheck. This is why we are in good shape financially and live in a desirable part of NorCal.

So he actually has a say in the matter. He does not say pip when I take him to Slim's to see some metal group (and get him home shell-shocked) or heavily contribute to Amazon.com's riches.

i know bongo it is a little behind the times, but sometimes it's easier to keep the peace and pick your battles. it's hard to explain why you need to spend over a thousand dollars to see a band more than 3 times (or once). some people are not the freaks that we are... unfortunately. i'm usually a pretty strong person (allity), but sometimes you have to bend. or be sneaky... which i don't like to do, but hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do for the police. know what i'm saying?

Kalypso....

I'm sorry to hear your news....

I feel real bad for you.

I really hope there are some West coast shows as I'd hate you to miss out......

Luckily I told my husband I was off to Toronto the day he came back from a trip to Spain to watch his beloved football team..... I asked him if he wanted to go but he said no......

It's tough on you but you need your marriage....

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you

Thanks ppl! I am really feeling the Copelove here.

For the record, I wanted to see only *one* scrawny little concert, not follow the band through the country.

Kimmi,

was it Real, Barcelona or was it American football... I wonder what team is worth a trip from Canada to Spain....

Now, Beckham is already in LA...... :?:
