I had seen on YouTube some vids from concerts, earlier in the tour, when Sting would introduce the band and Stew would intro Sting. I've read in reviews that went down early in the tour as well.

At the Hershey concert, Sting into'd the band twice and neither time did Andy or Stew intro Sting.

Is this commonplace now? At what point did Sting's intro get dropped?

Don't know when it was dropped, but whenever Stewart tried to intro Sting, you could barely hear it. Stewart was trying to talk over the huge roar from his own intro, and I noticed that much of the audience just couldn't catch it.

I guess they decided it wasn't necessary.

Yeah, I was wondering, "Who tha fuck is that bass-playing singer guy? I wish one of the other guys could let us know who he was." He really wasn't bad. Might have a good career ahead of him. I wish I knew his name! :shock:

Maybe Stewart saw the posts about how annoying the intro was getting and they decided to drop it.
