Who do you think is as "forceful" as the Police?

Andy must have heard that a woman climaxed during their set
Not even the Foos can do that!

I'll second that! XTC in their prime would have easily held their own.

Foo Fighters would have to come very close. they have a great energy live, but they're a 4 piece, and The Police did it with just 3.

Lots of subtext in this one, DrummerDave....

The Police could do it only with ONE man (not three)

After seeing them twice in less than one week, the second time in the tenth row, I may retire from concert going! Unless I can swing another Police show somehow. I don't think any group can top them right now, in my opinion. Unless Talking Heads reform. Saw them with the Police, first night of the first US festival, 1982.

Is it true that at the US Festival, everyone turned to look at the moon during "Walking On The Moon?"......

The doors
Jemi Hendrix
David Bowie

Not that I've seen them live, but I think they have that force

I've heard it was a fantastic set! Lucky you.....And I have to agree: Who has the power and depth to top the Police right now? Even the great U2 wouldn't surpass them. Now THAT would be a double-bill for the ages.....

It was an unbelievable night. I thought I was going to die of heat exposure in the middle of nowhere, but that would be fine because I saw The Police. Saw U2 the following year, 1983 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Have you seen on You Tube the footage of Bono singing Invisible Sun with them at the Amnesty shows? A bit dated now, but fun to watch.
Doesn't have to be a supergroup. For instance, I saw Arcade Fire on TV for the first time and was quite struck by their passion.....
I like them, but my wife pointed out that they sound A LOT like Echo & the Bunnymen. Ever since she said that, I can't think of them in any other terms. I like Arcade Fire, but I prefer the Bunnymen!

And unfortunately XTC doesn't even seem to exist anymore. Andy Partridge said that Colin Moulding moved out of town and never left him a new number. Subtle!

That one (Amnesty) I got to see live.... All these guys put forth "goodness" energy in a world that sorely needs it. They're heroes to me. P.S.--Echo and the Bunnymen: "Never Stop" is one of the greatest records of all time. "We're taking stock/of all the treasures still unlocked/the love you found will never stop...."
