well, after much ado and sweat in my attic of 1000 degrees, i have only come up with a picture of me and my friends that was dated march 1983 - i was 12 years old.

i had a picture of me roller skating with tube socks from when i was about 11 yrs. old, but i can't find the damn thing. it's probably at my mother's or tucked away in some box i'll never open. i think i lost 10 lbs. in my attic looking for pictures!

I don't know why the McFaddin's McLosers didn't put our group photo up in their weekly re-caps. I lifted my leg up to be sure they got the shorts, socks and shoes. Most of the photos they used lcontain people who look like they could be related to Lue Anne

Great shot, PRule. I HATED my mother for those kinds of blouses. (Only Mom tended more toward eyelet lace. Ugh.) I'm pretty sure I had a sparkly blue sweater as well at some point.

Nobody needs to see that! But I can't believe none of you guys got any group shots in Philly - I am sorely disappointed not to see your ecstatic faces huddled together above matching tube socks!

I remember a lot of girls wore stuff like that at that time.

oh, i wore that too!

i went to a school run by a nun, so that was not acceptable to wear - this particular pic was taken at school, so that's what the innocent look was for. in fact, we wore uniforms usually, so this must have been some field trip day.
