withdrawal

These shows are like crack. Seriously.

My friends and family all thought I was nuts at first buying tickets to 5-6 shows (which has now expanded to more like 9+...) Now that they've actually SEEN a concert, they keep after me about how to get to another one and trying to get the best tickets possible (just look at vespapod 8) )
Jenny--There's something this band connects us to and it's hard to articulate exactly but don't be afraid to "go deep" on the Krypton Forum. Beneath all the sarcasm is a very empathetic group of people who know exactly what you're talking about.
TRUTH.

I had two shows last week, and yet was I ever green with envy of everyone in Toronto last night. The European leg is going to be painful.
He will be celebrating his birthday by being taken to the best gig of his life (I hope!!) and will have the pleasure of sitting next to me  in the 5th row to see Stewart and the boys at Twickenham on Sept 9th!!
Ahh, remember, Helen -- you're on Flag Duty that night. When Stewart points a drumstick at you, your husband will be floored.

Maybe if your hubby is super nice, you might even let him hold the Flag for the curtain call.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Hey DM!

By the 9th I will have done my bit for Copelandia and Hannah will have the honour of flag-bearing. Ken will just have to believe me when I tell him that Stewart jumped into the crowd and gave me a big hug when he saw me with the flag the previous night

So...I take it the 5th or 6th show is just as intoxicating as the first?!

I don't think there's anyone in my real life (except friend that I went to the show with) who would understand the withdrawal and letdown after my ONE MEASLY SHOW. It's embarrasing but it was depressing to come back to the routine when I really wanted to just keep going to more shows. I guess that's why I ended up here...needed to vent, and nobody else is going to understand it! Thank you for letting me come in and babble like a teenager.

*IF* there is another North American leg sometime later, as Andy hinted in that Toronto review (oh please oh please oh please...), we've got a whole year to start saving, and have already decided it's going to be the good seats this time, and will travel as far as we have to to get there!

I have withdrawl too. I'm dealing with it by planning to go to another, in Atlanta. Also there's another date announced for November in Philly.

I'm trying to imagine a way I could manage it...

I wasn’t sure whether to post this under Toronto #I or under Withdrawal. It could go either way.
I am at once regretful that it took 20+ years to get to where I was last night and on the other hand so reverent and thankful that I was fortunate enough to EVER have that opportunity. It was an unprecedented experience for me. It is so rare to have something exceed your wildest expectations after such prolonged anticipation.
The 2 Regatta’s / CSLY were so uber-powerful I definitely found religion (or something a little more wicked and pleasurable!). Every Little Thing was exquisite Magic; I could hear the warm voices of the entire crowd singing along and I was very nearly Driven to Tears. It blew my head in two Oh Boy!
The only thing saving me from terminal withdrawal today is that I have been doubly blessed. A series of business trips will be taking me to Europe this summer/fall and so I now have the opportunity to see the Amsterdam show on 9/13. Hopefully Phaty won’t eradicate all the Dutch before I can get there to spread my Toronto germs :!: The fever is coursing through my veins so I’ll be looking for other opportunities in October as well. I mean I might even meet Dietmar for heaven’s sake!

Yes, religious, spiritual, emotional, and folks..... even sexual experiences during the shows. My best friend from high school joined me for the Tampa show. She is a fan but not a FAN!!!! We were jamming to Roxanne and at the end she grabs me and screams, "Holly Sh*&^!, I just had the most amazing orgasm and I did not even ask for it!" After the show I asked her about it and she said that the beginning was like a fabulous long kiss and then the middle was hot foreplay and then the jamming at the end was incredible sex and she CLIMAXED! Whooo hoo!
Yes, the guys are consuming us totally! MEOOOOWWW!

Don't let the press get wind of this. We'll never hear the end of sting's orgasm inducing voice. But to be fair it could have be the drunms or geetar too!

I don't think that Sting should get all the credit. It was truly a group effort! It was the three of them. You remember how they start out in classic Roxanne and then the go on a long slowish then jamming middle and then you got it baby.... the CLASSIC ROCKING ROXANNE! Sting, Stew and Andy jamming with all their beings. And, the lights the crowd the singing the jumping up and down.. Whew, it was hot and mad, baby, mad!!! Boy talk about a menage a milles (thousands, instead of menage a trois)!!
Okay, now for a cig...

and sockii said"These shows are like crack. Seriously."
got a point there! i only got one show in and if i could, i would be going to as many shows as i could-but alas, i am a single parent-so finances are tight. but i understand jennym's point, where my son being born was the most important day of my life, seeing the boys is a very close second! 8)

I can tell you that the most orgasm-inducing instrument is, unfortunately, the bass guitar, owing to the depth of the vibrations.

I know it could have been a combination of very exciting factors to entice your very sensitive friend, but when I get close to the amps all I can hear is the bass, above all in my stomach!
