Pictures of forum members wearing tube socks as kids thread.

I was at my mom's today looking for some old photos that I plan on scanning and maybe making as future avatars when I find this "winning" photo of me that my parents took of me and one of my cousins when we were having a sleepover back in the summer of 1982 when I was 12 and he was 11. Not only am I wearing tube socks, but I'm also wearing a pair of those garish gym shorts we had to wear for Physical Education and you can even see my underwear sticking out slightly.

I didn't have a scanner handy (in fact, I still don't own one yet), so I used my digital camera to capture the image. I'm bracing myself some good ribbing and public ridicule ;).

My tube socks are almost cut off, but they are there. The whole ensemble is quite eclectic...to be kind about it.

There's a picture of The Police in Montserrat behind me under the Goony bird and my records are on the floor behind me.

The other picture was right by the tube sock/shorts portrait...I remember my best friend and I having this photoshoot...

AHHHH! What memories!!!

So, wait, we're supposed to show photos of our kids who are forum members wearing tube socks, or pictures of tube socks who are our kids on the forum, or pictures of tube-sock wearing kid forums, or...

Ah well, here's me in 1980, about to fall on a rock, apparently wearing no socks at all under my corduroys...

And here's me in fifth grade (front row right, Ferrari shirt, sticking tongue out), again with no socks.

And here's me playing bass just a couple of years ago, STILL with no socks.

if I didn't know better, I'd think I don't wear socks that often. :?

...anyway, fuck off Weasel! :D
I love how you guys were KryptoKids before you were even aware....

As for me...I am  to admit I have never worn tube socks in my life, but even if I had, I know better now than to post any picture of me on the Internet, even if only of my legs.

A "winning" photo? I'd hate to see what you consider a "losing" one.

Con, I think they have support groups now for people who obsessively post pictures of themselves with their underwear showing on the internet . . .
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Thank you for the compliments, as well as Phaty's gay flirting. In actuality, I kept running across photos of me wearing no socks at all, which I found ironic given the nature of the thread. :)

If I find any good sock photos from any era, you all will be the first to know.

It's threads like this that make me glad all my childhood photgraphs are safe and secure at my parents house half a day's drive away....oh, and they don't have a scanner either so don't even think about it!!
