Leroy Coolbreeze shirt details??

Postby dontboxmein on 19 Jul 2007 14:55

OK everyone,

We have decided on the color...navy.
The Logo...on the sleeve is a 3 with Leroy
On the front it is a skull.

What is the font for the #3 and the font for Lettering?

And the three symbols...can't make it out yet?

And I was at that show dam!!!!
and if sometimes i can't seem to talk you know this blackborad lacks a piece of chalk

Check out Sockii's link earlier in this thread....apart from the symbols on the left shoulder, it's pretty darn close....I think she posted later on that it is indeed navy and not the royal which is what it is in the link.

Anyone figure out the "shoulder inspirations" (as Nike calls them) yet?

I'm inspired by a nice set of shoulders if that's what they mean.

Anyone else in on a group order? Or should we just get them separately? So far we only have:

dontboxmein
Dive
3/4

Reply, copy this list, add your name if a discounted group buy sounds good....hopefully we'll get the inspirational shoulder figured out by then!

I put an individual order in for myself today...given that they said it could take up to 30 days for the order to arrive (!!!) I didn't want to wait too long, and I wanted to do my own thing for the shoulder insignias (Italy FTW.)

So it's just you and me who ordered it Sockii....
I trusted your original design and the "3" to me meant a lot, 3 for Ian, 3 for the Police, 3 for the reggae beat...The perfect number!

Nothing wrong with that dontboxmein....I also thinking that since it's hard to decipher the 'inspirations', that maybe it would be more fun if we purchase separately and see how everyone customizes that portion of the shirt. I'm also thinking about maybe getting a red one!!

Has anybody thought about what Stewart would think if people all started wearing a shirt that is clearly a tribute to Ian without the same sentiment behind it? Would people be invading his mental turf, so to speak?
I'm steering clear until/unless it becomes available thru the Krypton Store.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

Now I don't agree with you SSunset. Leroy was and is very special to me.
I have thought many times of when I met him and talked his ear off without knowing it was him. He was kool, he was kind and funny. And one of the things I regretted most for a long time is not knowing who he was.

I have to say that I have similar reservations (for myself) but I didn't say anything given that I think people here just want to show their love for Ian who, although not literally a brother to anyone here but Stewart, was a friend to just about anyone who met him. He was just one of those amazing characters. I think its coming from a good place, in other words, especially since it's Leroy (someone for whom there's no shortage of love for around here). I was hoping Stewart was wearing a prototype of something that may've been later available to us but since it's his custom design, I thought to leave it to him. I honestly don't know what he'd think but I think you are being thoughtful about some fairly significant personal symbolism, something important to think about. On the other hand, he made his private feelings into a public and visible tribute that at least some people would recognize and while I’m sure he wears it for Ian and family first and foremost, who else would know what a Leroy Coolbreeze t-shirt means? <grin>
