Hey I just noticed...

Once upon a time...

Postby georgygirl on 04 Mar 2006 05:06

I liked Sting, when he was with The Police, and also in his 3 first records.

But it turns to commercial from my point of view, and he made just Brat music, so I don't like him anymore.

Maybe he sells more than Stewart, and also crowds of women love him, but anyway, I don't like him anymore. That is the point.

For me he is not better musician than Stewart, no matter what the crowds says...

Most people know that. Stew is an excelent drummer, and Sting isn't a bad bassist.

crowds of women love him, but anyway

Yes...oh yes. 8)

is it truthful that "Sting" was originally copEland's gig name, and gordie took it on, it's being perhaps more suiting for the lead??? STEWARt was sting, being affiliated with the c.IA.

I get confused with this information.

I didn't catch it, maybe in a while.

:?

I only remembered when Stewart said in a MTV program, that when he saw Sting in Newcastle, he tought, -Ahhhh, that's my ticket to the big time...

Sting got his nick name in an old jazz band he was in, because he always wore this yellow bee jumper. No, Stew was never called Sting. The CIA had nothing to do with it.

Wrong again. He was in Phoenix Jazzmen and Last Exit.

He joined Last exit in '74, and the Phoenix Jazzman in I believe '70.

I think Stewart got the name The Police from seeing a police cruiser just going down the street. Pretty brilliant, really. It's instantly iconic and a lot of free subliminal publicity.

yeah, the bodylanguage and subliminals in the POlice videors are interesting. saw a few impossible to detect with the nekkideye with the bad quick chime progrum i got crawling along frame by frame. i don't agree that they're "good enuf 4govermentwork." video was just beginning, and they come off unpretentious in their simplicity.
uh, huh

Okay

Postby georgygirl on 05 Mar 2006 06:19

But anyway, I loved Police videos, no matter if they are from old times.

My favorite is 'Wrapped around your finger.

I get chill when I see it.

Cool Police video, and maybe I never catched the subliminal bodylanguage. Maybe I am so naif.
