The most awesome Divemistress just sent me a carepackage with a rainbow-assortment of tube socks. So I'll bring a spare pair or two with me on Thursday if we need to provide suitable "coverage" for anyone!

i posted another thread, but i'm letting you guys know this too because i'm not so sure you would see it in the next couple of days and i'm sure you are watching this thread.

the tickets that i got were through a friend and we took 4 of them. they are in the 140 something section. we had 4 people and now we only have 3, so we are left with an extra ticket.

if you know anyone who is ticketless and wants to go, please let me know. the price on the ticket was $150 and i paid $100 for it.

Hey guys, I just got the following email from Comcastix regarding the Philly show...thought it might be useful info to anyone who didn't receive the mail:

Please read the important information below about the Police Concert. We value your business and hope you enjoy the show!

Gate openings
• Ballpark gates will open at 5:30 p.m. except for the Right Field Gate which will remain closed.

Parking
• The parking lots in the Sports Complex will open at staggered times, starting at noon.
• Reserved parking will be in Lots S and T on the west side of the ballpark.
• Parking spots may not be held for others.

Tailgating
• Tailgating is permitted only in parking lots south of Pattison Avenue and east of Darien Street: Lots A-H, J-N and Lot P (parking map).
Tickets
• For ticketing questions prior to July 19, please call ComcastTix at 1-800-298-4200 or e-mail them at customerservice@neweratickets.com .
• On July 19, ticketing questions can be answered by personnel at the Citizens Bank Park ticket windows located on the west side of the ballpark on Citizens Bank Way.
• Once inside the ballpark, ticket questions can be addressed at the Guest Services window on the Main Concourse behind Section 123.
• Those ticket holders that have seating on the playing field must obtain a wristband at one of the kiosks located just inside the entrance gates. Wristbands are required to get onto the playing field.

McFadden's Restaurant
• McFadden's Restaurant at Citizens Bank Park will be open as normal. After 3:00 p.m., a concert ticket will be required for entry. Tickets will be scanned upon entering McFadden's after 3:00 p.m.

Security issues
• Security stations will be set up at each gate entrance. Please allow plenty of time to get through security and enter the ballpark.
• Prohibited items include: weapons of any kind, signs, cans, bottles, food and beverages, chairs, bags of any kind (other than women's purses), umbrellas, cameras, audio or video recording devices and laser pointers. Women's purses will be searched prior to entry.
• Ballpark staff will NOT be able to hold or check any items for you. If you have any prohibited items, please leave them in your vehicle.
• There is a no re-entry policy at Citizens Bank Park. Once you leave the ballpark, you may not re-enter.

I managed to actually find some barely-legal green running shorts yesterday to go with my tube socks. We'll see if I'm brave enough to wear them tomorrow (hey, if it rains, the less fabric to get wet, the better, right?)

i sent my jean shorts out to get patched up for the show yesterday and i'll have them today. there is no way my fat ass can squeeze in to a pair of tight short shorts (talk about obscene )! good luck there sockii... can't wait to see them!

I was going to try to record the show, but with possibility of watching the show in the rain and the logistics of hiding a minidisc and mic in a pair of tight shorts, I may abort.

i'm not so sure about taking my camera in as well. my seats are off to the side, so my shots wouldn't be that great and i really don't want to be protecting it from the rain if it happens.

i have 2 more shows to try!
