We need to use "google earth" or something.

find a whole bunch of places where we all are....and find the exact spot that is equal distance to each other.

If it's over water we rent a boat and party at the centre of the Copelandia universe.

...of course it may be atop of a garbage pile.....then again...it could be a strip club....could be a gas statio....Ok anyway.

...wouldn't it be weird if the spot was in LA right on Stewarts front lawn...talk about seven degree's of Stewart Copeland.

Well, I'm a first generation American, 1/4 Genovese, 1/4 Siciliano, and 1/4 Toscano, so I'm pretty much a tutto d'Italia kinda girl...but the combintion probably explains a LOT about why I appear to be all over the place! <giggle>

Good point. If we take the fan furthest west and the fan furthest east and find the midpoint... like California and Japan. Oooh actually, that could be mediterranean couldn't it?!

You mean my shite comment? Nah, I meant that it will an international meeting of shite-talkers.

No cruise please. Unless you want to see Martini lose her martinis.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

I must confess something. I belong to other fandoms. Though the Police were my first love and obsession, they were not my first online fandom.

I belong to the online Cary Grant fan club, The Email Warbrides (that's where my screen name comes from.) We have Caryventions every 18 months in different parts of the world, based on where we have active members and hopefully with some realtionship to Cary Grant. Usually what ends up deciding these things is two factors: where can we actually all afford to go. Sometimes it's the UK, sometimes it's the US, and yes, this year we are having a Cary Grant cruise. But mostly what it comes down to , is that we have to have a very active and organized fan base in the area where the convention is planned. We had one in Minneapolis/St. Paul because I was willing to host and work my ass off planning it.

So before we all buy tickets to Italy or LA, or London, we need to find at least one (but preferably two or three) SCnutter(s) who is willing to plan a Konvention.
Thanks to Sockii (you rockii) for awesome Avatar photo!

I'm torn. BUT, Stewart is an honorary Italian so he might even show up. And we've got to party with Gio and Eugenio and we can go to the the piazza where Notte della Taranta was played and frolic in the Mediterranean and drink lots of wine and eat pasta and drop 'round and see if the Sumner's are home. OK, I've decided. Let's go to Italy. We can do a Police-related stop over in London first. Hannah can be our guide.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

OK. Where exactly in Italy? Taranta was kind of all over the South, and the Sumners are in Tuscany. It might not seem that far in US terms, but it is.

Yeah, I'm not much into the cruise idea, either. I like to go out and be able to see things. Plus, it's a floating bullseye for terrorists, pirates, scofflaws, noroviruses etc.

I would be up for both a Konvention in LA at (Backstage Cafe gets my vote) and then another one in Italy a year or two from now. So start getting those passports applications in now if you don't already have one!
