LiveEarth start time for The Police?

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 07 Jul 2007 06:36

I'm Tivoing three separate broadcasts of Live Earth tomorrow and I promise I'll share whichever is the best with the class.

Hacked off, though: they wouldn't release the schedules in advance and I missed Paul Kelly on the Oz telecast by like five minutes. I have a utility that'll capture a steaming feed but it doesn't have a timer on it...here's hoping one of my Oz penpals got it and can make me a dub.

I did catch Missy Higgins, who was great, and I think I'll still get to see Crowded House if I stay up all night. ;) Actually they're playing Nashville in about six weeks so I suppose I can wait that long...

The whole thing ends with The Police. There are no schedules posted because bands/set-up normally go over time. ie. Melissa Ethridge. Expect The Police at the end of the night EST or 4am GMT. Whether US national tv covers it or not is a different story. They're carrying all of it live in Canada.

I'm watching Bravo which is carrying the whole Giant's Stadium broadcast and they say they're going to rebroadcast the NBC highlights show at 11:30, so I figure that is probably around the time the performance will end.

I know it is probably a little late, but can someone advise everyone not to swear. Unbelievably tha BBC keep axing coverage on account of bad language. I remember sir bob swearing his head off, but never mind. I will try to remain calm if the bbc fuck up first chance to see for 20 plus years. maybe

I'd think they'd have been told in advance, but I have a feeling they won't...

UB40 is on now, wowzers, what a surprise from the past!
