 I got some of those, and I ride my bike to work a couple of times a week. It sure does seem like we're screwed unless massive changes take place soon. I'm going to have to use my television a lot tonight, tho: The Police are playing!

Phat, my husband has that exact shoulderbag. All the cool people must be carrying it.

Here's my major contribution for the year, as festooned for the ride to Bonnaroo:

I've also got some of those funky curly lightbulbs and we do a lot of recycling. Next stop: saving some trees using stopthejunkmail.com and giving more money to outfits like Nature Conservancy.

Pathy, I like your bike. Your bike has thick wheels. Unfortunately I don't have a pic with me on my bike. I do use it a lot though.

Samburusunset,

those are Energy-Efficient Lights.

5. Let there be energy-efficient light. Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFLs) use 66% less energy than a standard incandescent bulb and last up to 10 times longer. Replacing a 100-watt incandescent bulb with a 32-watt CFL can save $30 in energy costs over the life of the bulb.

I signed the 7 point pledge with my wife, and we are doing what we can to become carbon neutral, and I will leave no stone unturned to leave this world better than we encountered it for my little baby girl who rocked out tonite to the Police and others!:)

Music truly is the universal language, and I wanted to say that we all need to do our part,

Here's some places to start,

E.O. Wilson's website, the Encyclopedia of Life

Alan Watts writings and talks, especially Nature, Man and Woman or The World as Emptiness, or The Book, against knowing who you are, or especially the Wisdom of Insecurity

Aldous Huxleys Brave New World or
especially the Perennial Philosophy

J. Krishnamurtis talks and writings

Pema Chodron, or the Dalai Lama, or Robert Thurman(Umas dadS) writings

or anything else which makes your boat float

Good luck, and lets get it started!

Cheers!
