Man, I couldn't hear them as well at Dodger Stadium as I can on the Sundance channel. They're tearing it up!!!

I also thought the Beastie Boys rocked the house. Tremendous leisure suits! I'm sure the Police will sound great, but I'm hoping it will somehow turn into their greatest performance ever--for the world, and especially for them! I'll dig it no matter what.......

Gah!! I MISSED the Beasties!! Hub and I went out for a bike ride...I saw them at the Tibet show back in 1996 and they scorched. They were just on an R&B show I saw too...don't remember which one though.

Here's hoping SOMEbody puts out a live DVD set of all this. And not just the highlights, too.

I totally agree, GSC. A highlights DVD just isn't thick enough. I'm amazed at the high quality of most of the performances so far.

Pretty rough to sit through Fall Out Boy after the Foo Fighters tore it up at Wembley. Do we have any idea when The Police will hit Sundance?

The telecast goes 'til 11 p.m. pacific time, and there's a heap of acts left--Kanye West, Madonna (right?), Bon Jovi, etc. And I haven't heard anyone say who's headlining!....And yes, Dave Grohl and the boys really seized the moment.... 8)

They're [Fall Out Boy] better than I thought, singer has a pretty good voice, but damn that's a beautiful double kick set-up there I must say <drools on finish>

A lot has been said and misinterpreted about Yusuf (Cat Stevens) but he is one of the all-time greats and his songs really have weight today.....

I was actually quite surprised... they showed AFI a little while ago and their music was quite lame... make that extremely lame, but the lead singer guy got up and started talking about the Live Earth cause and global warming and the environment etc... and he sounded very intelligent and articulate, not just "dude, take a stand and... uhh... make a change... uhhhh... rock and roll, dude!!!!", but some real articulate stuff. I think the closest thing to an AFI show I'd ever go to would be the lead singer guy up on a podium giving a speech on the environment.

I'm pissed. I don't have Sundance, and Bravo chose to air only one Foo song thus far (Everlong). I was able to watch their whole set on the MSN stream, but that limited me to a small two by two box on my computer screen. Meanwhile, they were playing full sets of the crappier artists playing earlier. If I had know this, I would have subscribed to Sundance yesterday.

All grumbling aside, the Foo's set was about as good as when they played Dodger Stadium, though Stacked Actors in LA with Grohl going out into the crowd was a sight to see.
