How Reggae & Bob Marley Conquerd the world

I like reggae and I discoverd it in a different way, by THE POLICE... I am not a reggae fan but I liked it as a dance music and with some of their lyrics.

I just watch an special TV show of "The History Channel" and discovered Bob Marley and The Wailers were helped to conquer first world music industry by white muscians... Bob Marley and Wailers received 4, 000 pounds for recording an album in totally freedom in Jamaica, then Marley return to London and mixed and re-recorded it at a London Studio with a white engineer and producer... with the approval of Bob Marley the lines of keyboards were re-recorded by a white keyboarist who was taught by Bob marley of how to play the keyboard by the sprit and chords of reggae, also an "Slice"guitar was added by another white musician...in a way was the route they turns to conquer the american market and like those white musicians says is a fact to be accepted by an audience who never heard this kind of music a music that also they never heard, that isn't R&B, Gospel or Rock n'roll , is only a new music and thats the best way to reach in the charts... cool story

If you're interested check out the book Catch a Fire. Great Marley bio.

I also highly recomend Arkology - one of the Lee Perry boxed sets.
Let fury have the hour/Anger can be power - j. strummer.
