Here in Nola--unexpectedly hotel let me check in 8am on arrival...SCORE! Had a blast in Houston, adrenal glands don't fail me now. Flag safely here w/me, starving so have to go eat! <grin> LOVE YOUS GUYS!

Looks like Gina has another 5 or 6 hours before she is back home but she is on the way (yay!!) and doing ok. Bus was not so hot but I'll let G tell the whole story once she is home and gets a bit of food and rest.

Back and aok...as you see from Dive's avatar, I had a blast! In short last night the brakes on the bus caught fire and we had to evac the smoke filled burning bus, drive brakeless down the freeway 15 mph after the fire was extinguished followed by fire trucks and highway patrol. I texted Dive telling her I'm glad she had the flag, was worried about my scnet t shirt burning underneath the bus in luggage, and was wondering how far from St Louis I was stranded and if I could rent a very fast car with no top to get there. After receiving a simple to the point text from hubby "No, I put my paw down!" I stay on the bus, no matter how infernal the trip was shaping out to be <grin>

Finally, another bus was diverted from its original course to get us, so naturally everyone on that bus that was happy to have two seats to themselves was all of a suddent greeted with a busload of stranded passengers, sat next to someone who evidently needed psychiatric help regarding a severe break from reality who proceeded to tell me the tallest series of tales I ever heard and so I dubbed her C & C Bullshit Factory, then we had to turn around and get on another bus as the new one was having brake problems, so on so forth...made it back home in one piece though this afternoon!
