Wow, he's really on a roll in that clip, Dive!!
He's very underrated. His playing is definitely one of the unique things that define the Police Sound. I'm glad he's loosened up. He was a bit stiff and tentative in Vancouver.



(Do you think his kids gave him those South Park guitar straps? It was on the tube a while ago and I think of Andy every time they say, "Oh God, they killed Kenny." )

HA! Although has anyone else ever noticed that Sting is always holding Andy in photos? From then til now, it seems that more often than not, Sting has his arm around Andy in tight group shots, like he's protecting a little bird or something. A little bird that could cut him to pieces with his razor-sharp tongue, but a little bird nonetheless.

I'm on my third go around of One Train Later. Truely amazing read. I never tire of Andy's writing.

He's really lighting it up on the videos that I've seen on you tube.

I can't wait to experience the real thing in just under 3 weeks.

I was listening to the very end of "The Other Way of Stopping" today, where the drums and bass have faded and are that remains are Andy's chiming counterpoint lines. That guy is a master of ambience.

I absolutely LOVE that solo and the fade-out. Man, I can't tell you how thankful I am as a guitar player to have a guy like that inspiring me to go beyond the same-old, same-old. He plays, to use the cliche, outside the box.
