>I will definitely echo the past statements of "haven't they already played
>that song?" because there were a few that sounded alot alike (Joe's

Re: Fiction Plane - for me it was really worth buying their album and listening to it through a few times before hitting the show. I just can never appreciate hearing songs for the first time in a live environment vs. an album recording. Definitely the first time I listened to the cd it all sort of washed together (something I find pretty common with a lot of bands actually), but by the time of the concert in Dallas I really was enjoying their set. I'm so glad they played "Drink" as it's my favorite on the album and a nice break from the harder-edged stuff. The title track, "Left Side of the Brain" too is one that's been growing on me a lot.
I didn't buy the album until after their show at the Plaza Club in Vancouver. Definitely the energy from that show made me have to have the CD right away, and they were selling it for the awesome price of $10 Canadian and they all signed it which was also terrific. That was an amazing show. I was worried their music wouldn't have the same effect in an arena, but I'm glad to say they sounded just as good at the American Airlines center as they did in Vancouver. I think the show in Vancouver was slightly better for me is that of course there was the pre-fan club show anticipation, and also the fact that Sting was in the VIP section and was visible during much of the show. FP was able to take that energy and feed into to make a great show. And the audience was really getting into it which made it that much more fun. Drink is my favorite song as well. My other favorites are "Death Machine", "Two sisters", "Presuppose" and also "Left Side of the Brain" although I enjoy every single song on the CD.

I got not one, not two, but three separate acknowledgements from the Man himself STEWART!!! :D :D He pointed to me with his sticks after seeing my crazy flag waving, but the best, after the final encore and they took their bows, he came over to the edge of the stage and gave me a bunch of huge thumbs ups!!! Anthony,
I'm so glad you had such a rockin' time! What a thrill to be holding the flag at a show and have Stewart actually acknowledge it. Not only that, but during songs!!!!!! Wow. Tell your wife it's ok to have the baby anytime now.

Thank you for posting images of yourself with the flag, young man. The very idea that you got an acknowledgment from SC, mid-performance, is astonishing. Well done.

sorry i had not had the chance to post, could not get to a computer till now, and so i just wanted to say:Anthony, thanks for recapping the best night of my life! it was great to meet you and Gina, :D - i had wanted to see about hanging out with you guys after the show, but i am kind of shy- - and didn't have the nerve to ask. it is so awesome that you were acknowledged with the flag!! :D

like you, i got real emotional during the concert, and the song that did for me was Wrapped around your finger-for me that has always been a fav of mine, and they way they performed it was over the top for me! :D

i had the privilege of seeing them in '83 and they were great then, but it was nothing compared to the way they were in Houston, they were freaking awsome!! this will go down as one of the best nites of my life!! :D

Sandy! Sorry about not hanging out! :( If it's any consolation we had to get Gina back to the hotel so she could get her stuff and make the bus. So I blame it squarely on her. :p

It was such an awesome show.... Man I want to see them again and again and again and again and again! For now I'll keep reliving it and living vicariously through all the other shows the great people here report about. :D

AWESOME show report, man.

And it kinda proves something: everyone who's BEEN to the shows has a glowing report. The only ones who don't are those who haven't seen the show, and are basing their feelings on what critics say, or from checking it out on YouTube and so on. You just can't describe the vibe of electricity that's running through the audience on this tour. It's palpable. You just HAVE to be there.

It was one of the best concert experiences of my life, including hundreds and hundreds of great shows. One of the musical highlights of my life, actually. We are so damn lucky to have been able to see this.

BTW- the videos are all up- check that link in my few posts in this thread if you haven't seen them yet.

I have the audio done but not uploaded. It's a little over an hour, and I'll throw it on my server- email me at eaton.anthony@gmail.com if you want it and I'll give you the info. I'm bummed that it cut out during Invisible Sun when the iPod battery died, but still it has:
Intro/Bob Marley
Message In A Bottle
Synchronicity II
Walking On The Moon
Voices Inside My Head
When The World Is Running Down
Don't Stand So Close
Driven To Tears
The Bed's Too Big Without You
Truth Hits Everybody
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Wrapped Around Your Finger
De Do Do Do De Da Da Da
3/4 of Invisible Sun

It's straight through, I haven't cut the songs into tracks yet. But if you want it drop me a line and after I get it uploaded (tonight) I'll let you know. :)
