So what did you get at the concert?

Yep, I could have been packing a gun or recording devices--the 'security' at the Oakland gate were concerned that there WASN'T ANY BOTTLED WATER BROUGHT IN.

My niece was at Staples center concert in Los Angeles, and my sister told me that she bought me a T-Shirt, but by now I don´t know what it looks like, until my niece return ending next month...

For $5......

Postby neonhunter on 28 Jun 2007 07:07

I got the little strobe pin (Synchronicity logo) for $5 and it's righteous. There were enough of them at Dodger Stadium to create a trippy effect. Or maybe they were just enhanced by the billowing clouds of ganja that surrounded us. We tried our best not to inhale, but......They had these cool art-posters for sale too, but I was broke. I love the free souvenir photos I've found on the net, especially those by Sarah Hunt!!

The strobe pin is cool. I got one too. It was neat to look out at the audience and see all of them blinking.

Yeah thte only place you can get away with that here is this outdoor stadium. They have lawn seating and if you roll up your blanket in your bag you can stuff drinks down it.... they don't check down there.

Can you bring your own stuff in Cali? You can in Fl or at least you could some years back.

I got the black t-shirt with the British flag logo over the guys faces 'cause I thought it was neat (even if, grumble grumble, Stew's an American so it's a wee bit misleading!), a program book, and a Ghost in the Machine lanyard (I can always use those things for all the conventions I work).

I wanted to buy more but I'm waiting for a show on home turf so I don''t have to pack it on the plane. I want the one goofy poster of the guys, and I'll probably break down and buy that black hoodie with the japanese text on it, too, even at $60.

It will take all of my resistance not to buy the Outlandos throw blanket. It would look sooooooooooo cool in my living room. :D

If there's time before catching a flight, the postal services are great for this kind of thing. (Think long-term hiking mentality.) If you're nice enough to the front desk, you can even sometimes get your hotel to take care of the details of mailing the stuff home to you.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

I got the British flag shirt and a program. It is hard to get out of the merch. booth with only one or two items. Some nice posters that I had to talk myself out of (actually I just imagined my wife's face when I showed up with $250 worth of merch. and that did the trick).

Oh yeah, the blinky pins! I forgot about those!

They sold decently well at Oakland, at one point I looked back over the stadium and they were blinking all over the place like twinkling stars. I couldn't capture it on my camera but it was pretty neat looking.

If they had sold them for $2 or $3, they probably would have filled the place!

$50, if I read the sign correctly. I actually (for once!) thought it should go for more than that.

>im still paying for sockiis andy book

Yes, but sockii loves you for it (and other reasons too, of course. )
