Okay, Bongo Boy it is then! We'll do just fine in Toronto!

I should probably warn him that in addition to utter goofiness, I have had a strange need to hug total strangers who happen to enter my path in the hours before showtime. I have so lost my New York cool!!

You've been warned!

I hold in my hand an excellently packed flag! Looks awesome! Also, there's tons of room on the back, so I'm gonna fill it all up, let my daughter draw some pictures or something- cool?

Oh that's low.

You know I'm just teasing! But there is plenty of room on the back. :) I love the bamboo flagpole too. :D It's in great shape- only minor cracking on the paint. I know we want to have Stewart be able to display it and would love for the front and back to be seen at the same time- I haven't looked closely enough yet, but since it's double backed, can it be slit on one side so you can flip the back around to the frontal view? When all's said and done of course! It would end up being twice as long- front and back side by side. What do you think?

You mess with the bull, you get the horns ->

Bamboo flagpole? What are you talking about? That's new.

Display-wise, can't split the fabric easily -- it's not stitched around the edges but bonded together. Prying it apart would shred the fabric. (Remember, this thing was built for a weekend, not a world tour. It's a bit slap-dash.)

There's always the double-sided frame option. Would probably need to be custom-made since the dimensions aren't standard.

Although to be honest, considering how grassroots this thing is, that really seems kinda formal and stuffy to me. I almost wonder if we shouldn't just give it to SC as is and let him hang it from a cymbal stand or whatever.

I really don't know. I do hate to force decor on a person.

Glad you got it in good condition, Spec A.

DM, I had a piece of bamboo and I just drilled three holes in it and then tied the flag using the three gromet (sp?) holes you made. Hope that's okay, makes for easier flag waving but also easily removed if so desired.

The show was fantastic. I was standing and dancing the whole time. I waves the flag a couple of times, but to be honest, I'm surprised anyone saw it at all. We were sitting under cover and as I looked across the stadium to the other side I thought to myself "There's no way in hell anyone will see this". But I guess I was wrong, Some one did see it, so that makes me happy.

Thanks for allowing me to participate in this flag raising!

I forgot to take a picture of us with it!! Bummer!

No problem, Bella. I was trying to figure out if the bamboo was a Roo or a Dodgers addition. Spec can remove it if he can't get it past security or wants to fold it up.

And don't worry -- like I've said, the chances of Stewart actually seeing The Flag are slim to none. BIG PLACE, teeeeny flag -- plus the band's eyes are flooded with lights, the audience is mostly in darkness, Stewart's got a few other things on his mind, etc., etc. Roo was just a big crazy beautiful stroke of luck (and genius on the part of cp -- thank you, cp!).

Only in a very few cases are any of us seated close enough that he MAY see The Flag. But it's nice to know that it's out there anyway.

Thank you for serving Copelandia, soldier!

OK, Europeans -- time to call you out.

HANNAH!
DAFTTART!
OLIVIER!

Check your email and confirm your link in the Flag Chain!

(Hell, PHATY has confirmed! Do you really want to be shown up by phaty?!?)

Gina's on a pilgrimage, so she gets some leeway -- but from the rest of you I need a "go" or "no go." Speak to me, people.

Thanks,
