So who here has kids?

When I was a kid it looked even more like a rat, they gave it a "face lift" sometime back when I still went there. They insisted it was a mouse...

Yeah my parents hated it... it was years later before I found out the pizza tasted bad (lol). We were made to check in every 15 min or so, so we'd take another bite and run off... with more tokens. You can't run out of tokens.
I've had more fun going to Chuck E. Cheese as an adult than I did as a kid, especially with all my nieces and nephews and the offspring of my various cousins, as I'm small enough that I can still crawl through all the habitrail-type tunnels that they have in their little indoor playground and scare the crap out of them and terrorize them all. I actually think the pizza tastes better (but is still pretty awful) compared to when I was a kid.
I don't remember any Chuck E's when I was a kid. You're not that much younger than me. Did you grow up in the east?

Yeah, they had them here when I was a kid. Well, the closest one was near Springfield Mall, I think, that we went to when we were kids. Then, when I was in my early 20's, there were some knock-offs like Showtime Pizza. A guy I knew in college tried to open a knock off of that around here called Showbiz, but it didn't last long and he got arrested for breaking into some other business. After that, I lost track of him.

I have 2 boys: Yann, 7 years old, and Gael, 1 year old.

Yann is not really interested by music but knows perfectly who are John Lennon or Stewart Copeland.
Gael, even if he's just 1 year sold, has already started to "sing" and to "dance" and really loves that! OK, the lyrics don't mean nothing and I can't tell you which song he's singing, but it's far better than some singers or bands we hear nowadays!

I have 3 kids. My son is 15 and two daughters. One that turns 10 today and another that's 7. My son is a drummer like me and I've turned him on to Stewart. I'd give him the CD's and tell him to listen and learn.
Since my kids were babies, I have tried to expose him to all kinds of music. From the Police (of course), and other rock bands, jazz, even classical (he's not too fond of the classical), latin, old school soul and whatever else out there that's not rap and not pre-packaged choreographed garbage.
My 10 year old daughter plays the flute but wants a guitar for her birthday. I'll be going to the music store after work today. I have a piano in the house that I'm trying to steer my 7 year old into playing.
You want something corny?
You got it

Checking in here - I've got a daughter 9 and a son 6. The girl is coming to the Giants' stadium show with me and hubby. She must be baptized!

I've shown them the Synchronicity Concert and they've heard the songs.

My daughter likes music and likes to sing. She is addicted to Radio Disney. I admit I like Hannah Montana and some of the High School Musical songs. SHHHHHHHHHHHH! (Listen, Miley Cyrus actually writes some of her songs, so that makes her OK in my book. If she tours, we gotta go.) She also likes the stuff I listen to on Sirius - Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Linkin Park, that Peter Bjorn and John song Young Folks. The funny thing is sometimes Radio Disney pulls out an old song, like Kung Fu Fighting (remember that?!). She loves it! They also play We Will Rock You and James Brown's I Feel Good. Wacky choices, if you ask me!

My son is not into music but I'm hoping he will discover metal or something when he is a teenager. As long as it's not hip hop!
yo!!
