When all's said and done if everyone wants to send me pics (I have server space to upload to) of their signing it/playing with it, whatever- I can make a little slide show or something of it all to give to Stewart. Even if you guys have some video clips, it'll be a cool little memento from us to him to enjoy many many years from now.

With a bit of luck a brief instant of flag waving may make it onto the official dvd. Now that would be cool. Even if it was only tiny and way off in the distance!

Spec, that would be really sweet. nancyrose's lovely hubby set up a smugmug account for me as well (although I have yet to actually figure it out) if that's helpful.

Hannah, I am anxiously waiting for them to schedule the acoustic gig because I SO want the flag there. We'll see if it can work out.

Hi,

I'll be at the 2 Paris shows !

For the first date I plan to be come very early and be at the very front of the scene (standing "arré or" - "gold quarter"). For the the 2nd I don't know yet where I'll be: either standing in the front again or seating (I got a seat in the gold section as well). I really want to see Stewart playing and I think that from the front of the scene I won't be able to see him correctly behind his drums while from the seats a bit upper, it'll be better with a pair of binoculars ?

As far as I know, Stewart didn't come playing in France (and in Paris) since the Animal Logic tour in 1989 and I wasn't in Paris at this Times ! So I never had the chance to see him live while I saw Sting & Andy many times. (I remember seeing Andy for his 2nd solo LP tour "The Golden Wire" at Paris, there was maybe 200 or 300 people in the placeand It was huge !).

I was planning to come at the concerts maybe with an Oysterhead or a Klark Kent T-Shirt ;-)

as a joke.

Anyway, let le know if you want me to bring the Flag.

Thanks for volunteering, but I've already got three people lined up in Paris for show #1, and The Flag will be on its way to Italy during show #2.

But be sure to look for the flag at the first show so you can sign it!

THE FLAG'S FIRST NORTH AMERICAN LEG: BONNAROO TO GIANTS STADIUM

JOURNEY 1: NJ to Bonnaroo
By the end of the week, DirtyMartini mails the flag to Divemistress.

STOP 1: JUNE 16 - Bonnaroo (Divemistress)

JOURNEY 2: Bonnaroo to Dodgers
On Monday, June 18, Divemistress mails the flag to Bella (who will be in VA). Flag must arrive in VA by Thursday, June 21 AT THE LATEST so that Bella can take it on a plane to CA the next day.

STOP 2: JUNE 23 - Dodgers (bella)

JOURNEY 3: Dodgers to Houston
On Monday, June 25, Bella mails the flag to Spec A!. Flag must arrive at Spec A's office by Thursday, June 28.

STOP 3: JUNE 29 - Houston (Spec A!)

JOURNEY 4: Houston to New Orleans
After June 29 concert in Houston, Spec A! hands flag off to GinaSuperCat, who then takes it by bus to New Orleans.

STOP 4: JUNE 30 - New Orleans (GinaSuperCat)

JOURNEY 5: New Orleans to Cleveland
GSC mails flag to DirtyMartini for repairs. DirtyMartini carries flag by bus to Cleveland.

STOP 5: JULY 16 - Cleveland (nancyrose & DirtyMartini)

JOURNEY 6: Cleveland to Toronto
After July 16 concert in Cleveland, nancyrose takes flag home and drives it to Toronto.

STOP 6: JULY 22 - Toronto (nancyrose)

JOURNEY 7a: Toronto to Boston
On Monday, July 23, nancyrose mails flag to Skip. Flag must arrive by Friday, July 27.

STOP 7a: JULY 28 – Boston (Skip)

JOURNEY 7b: After July 28 show, Skip carries flag home and brings it back to Fenway the next day.

STOP 7b: JULY 29 - Boston (signature-collector: Skip/flag-waver: Donna)
[After Skip collects signatures pre-show, he hands flag to Donna to wave during concert.]

JOURNEY 8a: Boston to NYC
On Monday, July 30, Donna carries flag home with her and carries it to MSG on Wednesday, Aug. 1, where she hands the flag to sockii for signature-collecting.

STOP 8a: AUGUST 1 – NYC/MSG (signature-collector: sockii/flag-waver: Donna)
[After sockii collects signatures pre-show, she hands flag to Donna to wave during concert.]

JOURNEY 8b: After the Aug. 1 show, Donna carries the flag home. She then carries it back to MSG for the Aug. 3 show.

STOP 8b: AUGUST 3 - NYC/MSG (signature-collector: Donna/flag-waver: DirtyMartini)
[After Donna collects signatures pre-show, she hands flag to DirtyMartini to wave during concert.]

JOURNEY 9: NYC to NJ/Giants
DirtyMartini brings flag home and carries it to Giants.

Thanks, Nancy. Boston is pending because it conflicts with Toronto -- and I'm going to wait until the fall tour schedule is fleshed out before I make a decision as to which direction to route The Flag.

But thanks for letting me know. If The Flag heads to Boston, I may ask you to serve as a Flag Mule.

(As smugmug goes, it's no doubt self-explanatory. I just have yet to actually sit down and look through it.)
