I hate to say it, but he is 1 of 3 which puts him in the minority. And as much as I'd LOVE to see some offbeat tunes making it into the set list, I must admit that us FANS are in the minority here as well. Who makes up the majority on this? Unfortunately, the 8 million or so people who made Synchronicity go platinum 8 times over. Like it or not, the people who talk with one another at the Police concerts like they would if they were at a club, and the people who walk out after EBYT to beat the traffic home....I hate to say it.....but THOSE people are in the majority.

again - missed the point. have another read of what i wrote on the previous page. would you call 'bring on the night' an 'offbeat' song? or 'synchronicity I' ? they are about as 'offbeat' as 'truth hits' or 'footsteps'. they are all album tracks. FYI, the band is playing the first track off every album - except 'synch I'. obviously that one wasn't a single - but do you know how many people own that album? i'd hardly call album tracks from records which sold millions of copies, "offbeat". i'm not rallying for 'a sermon' to be played. I'm simply pointing out that playing the same 20 songs for the next 8 months is going to take the sheen off things especially when, these days, 50-75% of the sets are going to be recorded and distributed by fans.
and have we forgotten the ticket prices as well as the musical capabilities of our heroes here? what, they can only manage 20 songs - and stick to them religiously for a year - when fans are paying in excess of $200 a pop? seems just a little less than what they could be offering. it's a lot of money we're paying here to see our heroes. i'll be happy with the present set - but i'll be satisfied if they challenge themselves a little more and recognise that people will often be going to more than more show.

Stewart can push Stingo and Andy all he wants to change around the setlist, but he is still 1 vote out of 3. Either way, I don't care....they are the Police and I'm just happy that they are touring, and I get to see them in person which I never thought would happen in my lifetime. I think the Police are more than capable to come up with a setlist that they all enjoy, and are happy performing....if it changes up at some point, great. If not, great.
And any way you slice it, if a song wasn't a single....then it would be considered offbeat, or an album track, or whatever you want to call it, but bring on the night, truth hits, synch 1, and walking are ALL on that same level. Otherwise, by your logic, the only album tracks they should play are all those non-singles off Synchronicity since it sold the most copies? Do you really want to hear Mother? Again, our heroes are more than capable of making up whatever setlist they so desire.

witch is how I see the things myself.
But also, you stay wise and critic.
I really sought you would get completely crazy after your trip in Canada. Remember you brought back a piece or carpet (or similar) and a bottle on water. A bottle with Sting’s DNA on it. Something you could get rich with by putting it on e-bay. But you would never do something like this.
