Avatar help?

I too am having difficulty getting my avatar to show up. Can anyone explain how to do it to a low- techie like myself? Thanks so much!

Upload your avatar to a site like photobucket or flickr and then copy and paste the link address into the box labelled 'Link to off-site avatar' in your profile.
That should do the trick
