Police Tour Merchandise...What's it like?

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 12 Jun 2007 14:48

Thanks! The photo's really crappy actually...you kind of can't see that the green image of Stewart's face (and the pink background) is like a newsprint halftone. It came out much better than I expected, actually.

Hah, I love it, Dive!!!! BONNAROO IN JUST TWO DAYS, WoooHoo!!!!

Before Vancouver I ordered one of those sterling silver name-necklaces with GinaSuperCat spelled out in cursive and people got a kick out of it...it's kinda frightening when people recognize your username, I start to worry what if anything I've actually said, just for a second, then say f-it <grin>

If I had bothered to give myself a cool username I would totally do that... but I'm stuck with yawny old hannaha. Still... I like the idea of team copeland shirts with our usernames on the backs, perhaps with number of posts in brackets?!

I just thought of this, might be stupid but...

Isn't there a POLO jersey that they wear when playing? I remember a picture of Stewart on a polo horse with a black team jearsey and I think it has you name on the back like football or hockey.

That would be way cool....and pretentious which is the best kinda cool, Super snobby cool !

Oh yea !

I like having shirts with our names.

Oh, I am so shy to have a shirt with my name; I rather instead a shirt with The Police name on it...

I just received, as a gift, a POLICE T-Shirt from the 2007-2008 World Tour and it looks so cool... Is a black t-shirt with THE POLICE playing on stage on b/w (similar design than the official POLICE TOUR poster) and POLICE logo on red and on back the citie list on white and red... I liked it so much, I decided to show it to entire Lima, at a pub or disco this weekend 8)

Thanks a lot Chris

I have the black tour shirt, with police/british flag on front, and tour dates on back.

I have been the envy of friends, family, and those who have spotted me wearing it around Grants Pass.

Surprise, surprise. Turns out the bloody thing lasted TWO WASHES (on delicate cycle, no less) before developing a nice hole on the front.

NOT happy considering the price.

I'll try to patch it but I'm definitely staying away from the "ladies" shirts and sticking with ye olde fashioned heavy weight men's t's.

AND restocking on my sc.net shirts from Giovanni, 'cause those suckers are comfy, well-fitted, and built to last!

Not good news regarding your shirt.

The shirts are made from different sources, I just noticed. My green checkerboard is from "ammo", made in USA, thinner cotton. My black tour is from "anvil", made in Pakistan, thicker cotton.

It's too bad they didn't go through American Apparel, decent quality material and great printing quality.

that's awful news about the brown shirt! 2 washes is crazy... nothing is worth anything anymore. damn, that would piss me off. only a couple of weeks to the philly show now... bet you are getting excited!

my boss was at vegas and got me the green checkered shirt and it is pretty heavy, but i like it. it seems like a pretty standard fit and it looks well constructed. i guess we'll see.

i'd love to get an sc.net shirt, but i'm xl and the biggest size is L, so i'm screwed on that one. i absolutely love the shirt that dive made for roo! that thing in awesome!

Thanks, PR. I'll be glad to gin you one up or email the artwork to you so you can make your own. I got mine off Cafepress, and it came out great except they screwed up the sizes on a couple others I tried to make for conroy and sockii.

I've got two of the non-womens-sized black Police shirts (the one with the Union Jack and the one with the three guys on front, Sting jumping in air) and they're not terribly heavy. They're about the same weight as the SC.net shirt and not boxy, which is a problem I occasionally have with un-fitted t-shirts.

yes, i'm pretty stacked in the "woman" dept. and i'm short, so i have to cut mens shirts to fit me right. sort of built like a tree trunk, alas...

i would love to have the artwork if you could email it - that would be much appreciated. i'm not graphically or artistically talented. i really like the colors. i've bought stuff from cafe press before, but never made anything custom... i'll give it a shot. my brother in law is has a screen printing business and i might have him look at it for me to see what he can do. i really want a shirt for the shows and i'm running out of time - 7/28 is my first.

Yeah. I can get into American Apparel shirts cut for women, but they're unflattering, typically.

Email incoming on the artwork...
