TJ7, honey -- they haven't played yet. Right now it's 3 pm Seattle-time.

But I'd be happy to make some news up if you like.

Ah! According to thepolicetour.com, the "event" has "passed". I'll stick with timeanddate.com next time! ;)

Are we gonna do this for every show on the tour??? :)
I guess notable set changes would be interesting to hear about.

OOOOOOOh, and I'm not being facetious here, we should have a Stewart fashion update as well. What color is the ensemble du jour, head band color, was he wearing the flash studded belt, etc?

I realize guys don't care about his sort of thing. But, some girls are hoping the little green shorts come out of moth balls and if they do someone better get them on YouTube!!!! ;)
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

Ohhhh Samburu.. You tempt me. I've had a few cocktails this evening after a very hard day at work. I'm feeling very naughty. You say, the little green shorts and then "mothballs". Dare I say, Stewart and mothballs do NOT belong in the same post.. GRIN!

Seattle Show #1

Postby jstmary on 07 Jun 2007 07:36

I was in Vancouver for the fan club show. Tonight I went to the first Seattle show. I do not have a set list. But it looks like exactly what they played at FC show. Someone will confirm that. Msg in a bottle started out ok, but sting and stew lost timing somewhere in the middle. They did end with encore with Every Breath AND Next to You. I have been keeping up with the reviews of prev shows in Vancouver. My opinion, they need to get rid of "Spirits" the new arrangement just doesn't work. Its awkward. I like how they jammed an extra long time on Roxanne, beds too big, driven to tears. Sting wasn't using a pic tonight. (info for the poster who was complaining about that on prev shows) I only went to FC show, so I can only compare to that one, that Stings voice is much better tonight. He belted it out, and sounded great, but was sometimes too far away from the mike to hear him on a few lines. All in all, Although my seats at FC show were better. I really enjoyed the Seattle show. I think as they go on, they will be able to get it tightened up.
I think they did an excellent job. I am very satisfied and am completely blown away by Stewart. They all looked happy to be there, and Stew was his silly self. Nice to be back boys!
Regarding FP, I enjoyed them better in a smaller venue at the club in Vancouver. Joe put effort tonight into connecting with the audience. They were smart to leave Two Sisters for the end of set, when more people were in the crowd.
It's 1 am here in Seattle. I just read an online review on

what a boring review.

Well, if you'd never seen the Police before, like me, YIPEE-HOLY-SHIT-YEAAAH would be a perfectly good adjective! It's 3:15am, and I'm back in Portland from the Seattle show. Too tired right now to go into too much detail RE how much the Police kicked ass, but I'll try to do so tomorrow when I have my wits about me. I waited 17 years for this experience, and I was not let down one bit....

I've missed all you guys over the last few months, but I wanted to 're-virginize' myself, if you will, with all things Police so I could be as unspoiled for this show as possible. I checked in on the forum every now and again, but was in a light lurking mode. It's good to be back!

yes but really funny ...

"However, there was one moment in Wednesday's show when it felt like there was some tension between band members. During a particularly lively and loud guitar solo on "So Lonely," one of the songs on two sets of encores, Sting said sarcastically, "Welcome to the Andy Summers show," and Summers rolled his eyes."

Hmm, I'm becoming more and more concerned with the faults in the shows.
