Now that I've gotten confirmation from all first leg Flag-Bearers, here is the Official Schedule of the first leg of Flag Conveyance.

*****

THE FLAG'S FIRST NORTH AMERICAN LEG: BONNAROO TO GIANTS STADIUM

JOURNEY 1: NJ to Bonnaroo
By the end of the week, DirtyMartini mails the flag to Divemistress.

STOP 1: JUNE 16 - Bonnaroo (Divemistress)

JOURNEY 2: Bonnaroo to Dodgers
On Monday, June 18, Divemistress mails the flag to Bella (who will be in VA). Flag must arrive in VA by Thursday, June 21 AT THE LATEST so that Bella can take it on a plane to CA the next day.

STOP 2: JUNE 23 - Dodgers (bella)

JOURNEY 3: Dodgers to Houston
On Monday, June 25, Bella mails the flag to Spec A!. Flag must arrive at Spec A's office by Thursday, June 28.

STOP 3: JUNE 29 - Houston (Spec A!)

JOURNEY 4: Houston to New Orleans
After June 29 concert in Houston, Spec A! hands flag off to GinaSuperCat, who then takes it by bus to New Orleans.

STOP 4: JUNE 30 - New Orleans (GinaSuperCat)

JOURNEY 5: New Orleans to Cleveland
It is unlikely that there will be an intermediate stop between these two dates cuz of holidays and timing problems. So when GSC arrives home, she mails it to DirtyMartini at home in NJ, who will then make any necessary repairs. DirtyMartini carries flag by bus to Cleveland. Alternatively, if Gina decides to attend Cleveland show (and flag doesn't need touching-up), she can always carry it to Cleveland herself.

STOP 5: JULY 16 - Cleveland (DirtyMartini)

JOURNEY 6: Cleveland to Toronto
After July 16 concert in Cleveland, DirtyMartini hands flag off to nancyrose, who then takes it with her by plane to Toronto.

STOP 6: JULY 22 - Toronto (nancyrose)

JOURNEY 7: Toronto to Boston
On Monday, July 23, nancyrose mails flag to Skip. Flag must arrive by Friday, July 27.

STOP 7: JULY 28 (and maybe 29) - Boston (Skip)

JOURNEY 8: Boston to NYC
On Monday, July 30, Skip mails the flag VIA USPS OVERNIGHT DELIVERY to sockii (in Philadelphia). Flag must arrive on Tuesday, July 31.

STOP 8: AUGUST 1 & 3 - NYC/MSG (sockii)

JOURNEY 9: NYC to NJ/Giants
Before or after August 3 concert at MSG, sockii hands off flag to DirtyMartini. DirtyMartini goes home.

STOP 9: AUGUST 5 - Giants (DirtyMartini)

Heh. Thanks, Hannah. I seriously hate this kind of shit.

But if The Flag survives long enough to reach Stewart at the end, it will all be worth it.

Oh and hey I just realized - is anyone signed up for Atlantic City yet? Because I can probably get vespapod to handle it there (and since, well, he's the boyfriend, passing it on to him after 10/31 at the Garden wouldn't be a problem... ;))

Heh. Thanks, sockii. Why don't I put vespapod down as Tentative Flag-Bearer until he actually volunteers himself himself?

Oh yeah definitely. Just tossing it out if it hadn't been covered yet - I'll see if he's game this weekend. ;)

What a brilliant idea. What is it about my favourite drummers and their online communities? The camaraderie is almost spooky...
Allow me to be the first Australian to volunteer my services WHEN (not if...) dates are announced for my neck of the woods (if, of course, the flag survives its northern hemisphere adventures).

Amen, Mister G.

Larissa, thanks for volunteering to fly the colors! (All 2 of them.) I think we may have another Aussie volunteer (I'm too lazy to search the thread right now), but I'll be sure to keep you in mind when the time comes. DESPITE the wisecrack about the flag surviving.

THE FIRST LAW OF THE FLAG IS FLAG SURVIVAL.

DAMN IT!

You Gals/Guys are awesome !

I was going to suggest getting the final flag framed up real nice...but then I guess it has signatures on both sides. Damn!

They do have double sided (glass both sides) frames. Stewart could flip the picture every five years or so? heh, heh.

Anyway, this is a really cool thing to do.

I can't wait to sign it at the Toronto show.
Cheers.
