The Book - Stewart, think about it

Postby giovanni on 31 May 2007 22:17

Stewart, don't you think it's about time to write a book?

Snippets of the reunion event is such a wonderful reading, you have a special way of writing ... the way you write about details, the emotions, humour ... even when in this forum you wrote about the acoustic set in Tuscany...in a few words you described more than a feeling...
Think about it ...

I never forget when you told me: 'If I will write a book, it will be about what happened in my life after The Police'...well, see this:

- Sting wrote a book about his life before The Police;

- Andy wrote a book including the whole Police career;

- it would be perfect then if you would go on and write your book about your life after The Police and getting back with The Police...that would complete the WHOLE STORY (but of course I'm sure we would love to read about your pre-Police life from your words).

Sure, is a very good time to SC/KK write his first book about the most relevant parts of his life experiences...

Oh, HELL yeah. Having been first compelled to come to SC.net by an hilarious interview I read with Stewart in the Manchester, TN Gazette, I'll repeat what I've said before: Stewart's writing is very nearly as good as his drumming.

Of course, we've gotten at least a chapter or two out of him via the Dinner Tales. But if he ever gets around to condensing any of this into a printed volume, I'll be the first in line (after you lot, of course. ;))

You DO have all that spare time during the day between shows now, STEWART.

Indeed, I seem to remember an entire film based around that fact . . .
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Perhaps, Stewart is thinking to write a chronological book about their experince with THE POLICE on studio and stage... a music book more technical one than Sting or Andy... so he will needs the help of some expertise fans who have that valuable exactly data dates...

Someone says Dietmar or Craig????

So, if it happen I think could be at the end of the 7th POLICE album and tour 8)

"Write it, and they will come."

I'm in Stew. I bought Andy and STing's books. I need yours to complete the circle (or triangle as it were).

My english is not good enough to judge Stewart's writting quality, but I support the idea too.

Saying that, it reminds me I was quite surprised to discover some month ago an old video where Stewart was speaking some french! I didn't know until then he had this talent! The big surprise was his accent: much better than Sting's one, which is not bad. So, the big question: "Stewart, why didn't you sing 'Hungry for you', you were far better placed to sing it?".

Okay for a book, in english, and then at least in french!

Hey, let's not forget we've got Henry's book, too! :D I have of my copy of that; I only wish we'd see an English translation someday, 'cause my high school French is just too rusty to follow more than a small fraction of it...
