Tea In The Sahara wasn't played. Or I passed out for exactly one song, which I wasn't...
Thanks, Dietmar. I didn't think that made any sense.

There must have been some seriously good druggage out there in the crowd somewhere last night.

Ya, *especially* where it was claimed to have appeared in the set-list, that made even less sense...I posted on TPT like pretty much asking wtf is going on and more people at that show are now posting that is was not played...

So did anyone get this infamous night unofficially on record?

If so, drop me a line please?

Thanks!

Hi Martini!
I do believe that a recording exists but I'll let the person responsible contact you...

I'm still obsessing about Wednesday night and I believe it's because I saw the band in its raw form. Raw! Real! Unleashed! - just like the old days! (wish I was there) There was an air of desperation on stage, and in the audience too (or maybe it was just me). Near the end they all played as if their life depended on it - a hint of the punk. At one point I found myself screaming (not singing) along with Sting on Roxanne - a climax, if you will, to the song's crescendo. Truly one of my best rock experiences ever. Stewart's Next To You tornado counts as another best experience.

Monday's show was polished, tight, and beautifully executed, but Wednesday was the real deal. Like Dietmar commented the arrangements on Wednesday were more interesting, quite different from the other 2 shows. It was clear that I was at a live show, oh ya it was live alright!!

Ok, at first I was admittedly a bit relieved that I wasn't at the 5/30 show (due to some of the early reports and then Stewart's by-now-infamous little assessment), but now I'm really starting to regret not having been there!! No Truth Hits Everybody... Near the end they all played as if their life depended on it... DAMN maybe I should have stayed in Vancouver that extra day!!

My feelings as well, Laz! And Merc must have been damn excited considering the triple post!

It sounds like this is going to be one of those shows that gets told to the grandkids. I'm damn sorry I missed out.

Mercury...thanks for your description, it leaves me in a fit that I couldn't stay...I know I'd have been screaming my head off too...electricity in the air...<faints>

At this point my hubby is looking very worried: he saw me pulling up the Greyhound schedules for Dallas and for NYC and just about everything else under a day's travel from here (we've since determined the dividing line as to what's acceptable length of a bus ride that I am allowed to take...the 3.5 days to vancouver was deinitely out <grin>)...he's a smart man and is scared, rightfully <grin>

Gina check out the flights for Munich in September - might be cheaper and you can have frontrow moshpit and after the concert we go and beat up Dietmar while he collects Stings water bottles ... !

Haha you just might have a deal there, except I adore Dietmar and will do no such thing, perhaps instead I will help him find goodies <grin>

Greyhound is looking like 70-80 bucks roundtrip for many locations on this side of the US...not a bad deal at all <grin>

I just heard DSSCTM from a youtube clip from the 30th, and just wanted to let Stewart know (if he is reading) that the key change is definitely an improvement!
