OUR FIRST DISASTER GIG!

Thanks

Stew
Thanks for reviewing the same show that I saw.
you guys are great and will continue to work it out.
Stings voice great. bass a touch muddy. not a great room.
your drums very good, snare yummy classic, octos and I even heard some of your delay!!!!!!!!. some of your rear percussion is missing . I know as I am a sound engineer and drummer and fan from the beginning. The guitar is the real problem for me and from what i have reasoned it is in the left side of the P.A. that it just would dissapear.
maybe panning in Andy's fx is the culprit . a drier sound might help.
hearing board tapes later and making it work in the room are sometimes diffrent.....
ride your sound guy as andys sound is a third of the tripod and you need 3 legs to stand on.

Your most appreciative fan
Screw it, it’s only music. What are you gonna do? But maybe it’s time to get out of Vancouver…
Mr C: I had a great time at both the FC show and this one :!:
I like the fact The Police are trying new things and it really shows through in a song like Walking In Your Footsteps. :D
I hope this hasn't put you guys off of Vancouver. I can understand the need to get out of Dodge now and get on with the world tour.
You have had such a positive impact on so many of us and I wish you and the boys the best for the upcoming shows and yeah...it's only music.
The Police rock........undisputed 8)
Stewart, I liked this gig best of all three. Despite the accidents I loved it. Or did I love it because of the accidents...?
Classic! I opened up the Police Mailing List emails first this morning so I'd just read Dietmar's comments that despite some mistakes this was his favorite show so far. To hear Stewart tell it the show was a complete disaster and yet, it seems the crowd ate it up!

Thank you for the review Stewart, that's always a real pleasure to read you talking about anything.

Talking about mistakes and not mistakes, well, all I can say is I hope you feel the pressure over there :--) I'm a big fan, I'm part of the guys who've listened to dozen and dozen of recordings of The Poilce (more than a hundred certainly) and should get a life. :--) I've bought several tickets and, as many people like me, this has to be mighty, this has to be the day we will remember as a "I was there" (not saying that you're not mighty in general, all three of you). So, keep it up ! Stay critic, give us your best shot ! :--)

I'm floating in mid-air right now. From the kind words on this forum I get the impression that people travelled to Vancouver just to meet me... with the POLICE concerts being a welcome bonus. thanks

I'd be feeling pretty pleased with myself too right now Dietmar - it seems that the only person STEWART cares to impress is you!

And yes, you are a legendary fountain of knowledge to many of us lesser mortals on the boards. Dietmar, we salute you!

Hey Dietmar, you deserve it! I only wish I could have made it to Vancouver to say hello myself, but one of these days...

You've always been incredibly generous with the material you've shared without asking for anything in return, and you do a lot to make this fandom such a great one to be apart of.

Precisely! In fact, riffing off your statement, Dietmar, you might even say that STEWART went to Vancouver just to meet you, with the Police concerts being a welcome bonus.

Like rapa said, I love this forum. You kids (SC included) are The Best.

Have fun trashing Edmonton, Stewart!

I'd've loved to have met Dietmar, also. Oh well...maybe this fall...

p.s. No worries, Dietmar. It's only music. :)

Anyone here get the idea that, well...WE, the fans, are the reason the boys put this show back on the road? I think STEWART at least is having so much fun watching us go gaga over the performances that it's probably already been worth putting his life on hold this year....Hope so, anyway.

Hey Stewart... Thanks for two impossibly memorable evenings in Vancouver (FC show and 5/28). Looks like I missed some cool stuff last night! See ya in Vegas!

AHA! I get it now...

You are purposely TRYING to hurt yourself or screw up musically on a regular basis to get out of this tour thing and get back to the editing desk.

Smart cookie :P

Dietmar, i'm glad you were entertained!
