Miscellaneous Stewart and drum info/pics/links/whatever

Trying to organize the mess that is my bookmarks and came across a couple of things that folks might like:

*Pics of SC performing in 2001: http://www.casabrian.com/concerts/ps_namm2001.html
Mainly notable because SC isn't wearing his glasses. (I seem to remember someone (Mrs. G maybe?) mentioning having not seen SC in recent years sans glasses.) Note the many drum faces. :wink:

* "Essential Kits": http://www.grahamdaviesarizonabay.com/esskits.htm
Some guy's collection of fave drum kits (Stew's included). Not a whole lot of technical specifics, but probably some fun stuff for our percussionists.

* SC talks drums and equipment: http://www.guitarcenter.com/interview/copeland/
SC talking about drum stuff, including his signature snare, and his studio equipment. He also talks about Sting, songwriting, pool exercises, and a whole bunch of stuff -- the interview goes everywhere. SC also mentions my new favorite word: "flashmetronic."

* Musical Minds: http://musicalchairsdoc.com/
Um, SC seems to be in a documentary?!? Any info out there on this thing? Judging from the hair, I'd say SC's interview is from a few years ago.

* The OTHER Stewart Copeland: http://www.gohomefatboy.com/about.html
There seems to be an OTHER Stewart Copeland who is a filmmaker out there. Couldn't hurt to support the guy, but also be warned in case you come across his short film "In the Glow."
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Awesome!! Much thanks for the links... BTW, what SC told me in person when I met him last year about advice for up-and-coming drummers is pretty much word for word what he says here in the Guitar Center interview. What a jerk!! (just kidding!)

Laz, SC has NEVER been shy about re-using bon mots! I dare you to google "Stewart Copeland" and, say, "can of beans." :D

Haw!! For real. He's got that exact line in the Danny Quatrochi book that came out circa 1985.

Hell, we don't mind. Good ideas oft bear repeating, or so I read a few times...;)
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

You'll all be happy to know that I've found 2 out of 3 old Modern Drummer's I have, including an interview from 1990 when Animal Logic was active. Soon I will find my prized 1982 Modern Drummer cover story and get them all scanned and online for your enjoyment. :)

I also found my 2000 issue of Revolver, with the first ever interview of our three boys in the same room together in (at the time) 15 years. :)

Looking forward to it, Spec!

Although I have a question about that Revolver interview. GREAT interview -- funny and poignant as hell. But I'm confused on the physical situation:

When I read it, I thought all three of them were in the same room together. But then I remember SC talking about doing an interview (that sounds an awful lot like the Revolver one) in which Sting and Andy were in Italy in the evening getting drunker and drunker while he was in CA in the morning getting more and more caffeinated, participating over an ISD line.

Am I conflating two interviews? or do they turn out to be the same interview? I remember that Sting and Andy (and wine) are specifically placed at Stingo's; but I don't remember specific mention of where SC is.

(And doesn't SC have a recording of the whole interview lying around somewhere? Or am I officially making this shit up now?)
