Good stuff- that's funny I thought Ministry/RHCP too! :) And I'm a teeny bit jealous of the reunion!! Have fun with it (and record it for posterity!!).
And yes, it's Octavian! Haha. I was obsessed with Roman history at the time and the album we made, Force Majeure, tries to correlate events with the late Roman time periods to the US. Yeah, I'm a stupid history dork--then again it's my second major, so I thought I'd use it somehow!
My second major was Classics, so I LOVE the Rome refs. How come the band was/is disbanding?

Have a great gig tomorrow, Blue. Let us know if you get it on tape!

And speaking of, how's that reunion of yours coming along, Spec?

[ETA: Dude, get outta my head.]

Actually all this recent activity of mine is really getting my old guitarist/lead singer Dav (Me=Stewart, Dav=Sting) pysched up about our band again. It's funny because our relationship used to be pretty poor and was the reason we stopped playing and I focused more on other things in my life than the band. Now he's totally down for visiting- I actually have some good contacts here in Houston and could even line up a few gigs. The Bass player Joe on the other hand has been MIA since I moved down here 1.5 years ago. We've talked a handful of times, and I can never get in touch with him/he never responds. The crazy part is we worked together at IKEA everyday for 4 years! I know this whole relationship thing has alot to do with it. I'd like to think he'd come down to play in a heartbeat (especially since they'd just need to bring their guitars/bass), but now I don't know.

Dav and I talk almost everyday on IM now which is just crazy compared to how things used to be. He wants to collaborate over the internet, and said just today that he's gonna work on putting the old website back up over the weekend along with digitizing old recorded practices and video footage.

Have fun at the reunion tomorrow, Blue...wish I could see y'all...there was something dark that kinda reminded me of a splash of BOC in there as well...

Anthony, link the rave reviews here to your bandmates...and you also know what happens when a drummer starts digitizing and editing old band video footage, its starts the ball rolling on a strange, beautiful, and surprising path that lead to something like a Police reunion <grin> Best wishes that you'll see the same results for your band, even if your footage won't win you a Maveric Spirit film award!

Best wishes to all the real artists here and hats off to ya!

Yeah, I remember you saying how you and Joe clicked but you and Dav not so much. Hopefully Joe will turn up for you guys. But it's great to hear that Dav's enthused about reuniting.

Can't wait to hear/see more!

We disbanded awhile back because I wanted to start focusing on my last year of school--despite the fact that I started another band anyway! Haha.

We're gonna try and record some songs we never recorded. It'll be interesting!

Spec, hope yours goes great!
