Until the first notes they play
I impatiently pass each day
I whack at my drums and twiddle my thumbs
They're coming to take me away <grin>

OK, now its panic time...thirty days <panics more> I have to write a complete chapter on Francis Bacon before Bonnaroo...it's great when your deadlines are set by major music events...can't go to the Vancouver show and Bonnaroo with anything major hanging over my head...must...get...busy...can't focus

Thus May is fast approaching;
Stew must be bouncing off the walls.
Good god I hope there's padding
in those fine Italian halls.

Please, Stewart, do be careful,
with those gestures serpentine.
Break just a weensy fingernail,
we all might lose our minds.

So let Stingo do your lifting;
feed you grapes; pour cool wine.
Find time for simple blisses
cuz CURTAIN'S UP IN 29!!!

Hahah...well, the official song for today is, shockingly, not a Police song but one by the Pixies that came up on shuffle...instead of diminishing this thread with my bad attempts at poetry, I will instead defer to Black Francis...

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground...try this trick and spin it, yeah...your head will collapse...if there's nothing in it...and you'll ask yourself...Where is my mind <grin>

*bounce, bounce* Less than a month! Less than a month! I'm going to need some of that padding for my own walls. This morning's was especially good.

"So let Stingo do your lifting;
feed you grapes; pour cool wine. "

Definitely like that line. Good visual.

PS DirtyM, what'cha want me to call you? :wink:
