(As I said on the other thread: Gio, I'm going to X-post this to the other thread just to cover bases if you don't mind. Please forgive the repeat.)

If there is anyone who happens to find himself/herself with an extra ticket to the FC show (and will be in Vancouver already with the whole Will Call situation), could you please drop a line to me or to SamburuSunset? It seems that the ticket gods were against us today.

I'm going to try my luck with the FC sale tomorrow. But since Samburu was kind enough to offer to take me to the FC show, I'm hoping (if possible) I can return the favor by at least scoring her a better seat.

(Full disclosure: SS is a card-carrying member of TPT. I will not yet be til later tonight. Which explains why I don't know if there are actually membership cards.)

That's pretty much the boat I'm in...I'm a little sad I can't make it (couldn't even try, I have a show I *have* to work that weekend in Michigan). But I got to be at the Whisky and that's something that for me is gonna trump any other experience for the year (and then some), so...yeah.

Well this trip will have to replace the Memphis festival unfortunately...The big debate in the house tonight was whether I was going to be allowed to take the bus, my hubby has decided to take the position that he will not put me on a bus for three days...he was cracking up at my plan for what I would pack for food for the three days (per day: 2 soy bars, one fiber bar, an apple, a banana, and a handful of cashews) but has concluded that anything over one night on the bus is a no, hahahaha...I was trying to meet the bargain standard but alas, it looks like my pilgrimage may only be a plane trip after all...we'll see once the prices become clear <giggle>...too bad out trains here are really hardly a competitive form of tranportation, I probably could write a chuck of my dissertation on the way if it was...so at the present, he is on priceline trying to figure out an option to the bus <grin>

would be great to see those from here who are going...surely I will report here...I have sooooo much work I have to do before I go, omg <grin>

Hey folks, try site59.com, if you can handle waiting till the last week to book something. Their prices are usually rock bottom. Kayak.com's good for current airfares if you want to book early...And oh yeah, I check TripAdvisor.com before booking a hotel...

If a trip wasn't already planned for Montreal in July to visit family, I would have been tempted by this Vancouver FC show. Mostly when you know that I'll be leaving Montreal the exact night The Police will play! Aaaargh!

Would it be serious to go to Canada twice in a so short period and in such different places? Well, my bank would probably consider it's not serious at all!

I had to cancel the whole flight I already booked, which cost some money
:(

bought another one with two different airlines for each flight
this means that I'll have to stay another day (OK, I guess it's a nice town...) and will land in Europe nowhere near where I'm living, but in Amsterdam (another nice town!) and have to travel on from there...

but I guess it will be worth it
