A MIGHTY WIND IN THE MAGIC STINGDOM

Postby GinaSuperCat on 19 Apr 2007 04:48

Hahaha...great report, Stewart...either that's a 'cliffhanger' or we are being encouraged to partake in Mad Libs <grin> I've been reading Andy's book so I won't fill in the blanks, but somethings naughtly invariably come to mind <giggle> And we all thought Sting was unflappable...seems like KK has found Sting's kryptonite...and to be hoisted on his own petard, to be done in with his own bass...so to speak!

Dive, I hope you didn't make the same mistake I did last night and succumb to temptation of going to bed early even after a valliant attempt with 6+ coffee {didn't sleep one minute on the overnight flight...my usual policy is to stay up on arrival day until min. 10PM hell/highwater}...I've been wide awake since the illustrious hour of 2:30am...but at least had Andy to keep me company...I had to stifle many a chuckle with a pillow <grin>

Well I think it's official now. Mrs Gradenko and I are polar opposites. She avoided this thread thinking it was a fart joke.... I however zoomed in for the exact same reason. Yes, I was disappointed there were no fart stories, but really happy for the update. Hmmm, I seem to reek call a story about you on this topic from Ian. I should find it and paste it here. It was hilarious. Of course, for a slight fee, I could post again tomorrow saying I was drunk tonight, and to disregard everything I said... Break a leg on the tour!!

And for a first time poster, too. Man, oh man. Things are gonna get good around here this year, methinks...

I'm working on some photos, folks. I really dig this town so far. The only downside seems to be the air pollution, which is of a different grade than I'm used to and has my nasal passages atwitter.

I'm doing ok with the jetlag, though. Mum and I did get put in a hotel room astride a seven lane superhighway the first night here, so had to cheat a bit on the nappage after being awakened at 4 AM local time feeling as though we were in bed with a flotilla of diesel buses. Luckily the hotel folks are a cooperative sort and moved us to the back of the hotel last night.

Haven't had a chance to hit any record stores yet, but H. and I will let you know what we find this weekend. Mostly have just done tourist stuff - the Elgin Marbles, London Eye, etc.

a slapstick monkey and waves it frienzily in the air while howling at the moon. ARRROOOO oops as the monkey comes back like a boomerang and hits him in the head.... ouch.

Ok dorky, but I have been up for 36 hours remember. that is the first thing my crazed mind could come up with.

Shannon ROFLAO...."fall out" running thru my head....no "Voices in my head"...aaahhh. Having mental images. Help...giggles.

I need to go to bed now...night night.

STEWART YOU ARE THE DOGS GOOLIES!

Ta for making the effort to keep the fans posted it really is appreciated. Your writing's so vivid and playful - you obviously enjoy it and take time over it (do a novel, do a novel)

Anyway, just wanted to say that it was funny that when I flagged up your post to my cyberpals over on the police tour forum most people thought you were an imposter!

It's sad that more artists don't chat with the fans like you do. What are they scared of do you think? Or does it make them feel more important that they don't need to get dirty with "the great unwashed?". I know you said sting doesn't chat but surely he and Andy (and other artists you know) log on from time to time to check what people are saying about them (I know I bloody would!). Well you can tell that Stingo that he used to be my favourite but well, he doesn't write, he doesn't call, what's a 21st century consumer supposed to do? That's right DEFECT. Vote with your feet. SC's the one for me!

Can't wait for Birmingham Uk (make sure you have some puff left in you lot by the time you get to Blighty!!)
