...good ole Buddy Rich the King of Kings! and Mick Fleetwood and I read somewhere even Levon Helm (my 2nd fav drummer) had an influence.

The period from the early to mid 90's is when I think Stewart did some of his best work, like his scores to Wide Sargasso Sea, Fresh, Rapa Nui and Silent Fall. Even some of the movies he scored that really stank like Airborne and Bank robber had really good scores. And I think it was during this time period that he composed Stalin's Sultry Serenade which is my favorite Copeland compsition thus far. It was also during this time when he started using session muscicians like Judd Miller, Michael Thompson and Rusty Anderson and guest appearances by bass god Stanley Clarke. I hope he digs some of those pieces out of the vault after the Spyro tracks.
