i play in a band called the vf wing. we mostly concentrated on original material, mostly creating movie soundtracks. we are a trio with some similar and also some very different musical influences. we stay together by agreeing to work collectively and separately, sort of how the police was supposed to work back in the day. but we've never gotten into a fist fight backstage or anything, haha!

you probably haven't seen any of our pictures. had an animation in a traveling film festival that played in paris, toronto, and new york, plus it was also available on various websites at different times. that was pretty much its total distribution, so my guess is very very few have seen it...

that was only the first project, tho, actually a few years ago. right now i'm really excited about the new picture, far more ambitious than any we've attempted before, mainly due to my spending a year in a progressive arts school prior to making it and learning in leaps and bounds about my craft.

our last major shoot is scheduled for this saturday, weather permitting, with one or two pickup days following. when finished, it should be 25 minutes long or so. we will use this along with a script-in-progress to try to win over investors and a producer for a feature project. i'm gonna try to get the short into more festivals in the coming year, so maybe you will get to see this one!

as far as musical influences, the other guys are basically more pop than me, but IMO we overlap more than we diverge. i have turned them on to many things they likely wouldn't have checked out otherwise, with the reverse being also true. so hopefully all will remain well. still haven't tried that fight beer, lol!

I am not a musician, but I can talk to about Police experience in Nirvana, and how I can get this state with my favorite band and also with my Superman, but of course I don't know him as well as you do. I only enjoy his music, and how when I feel my world is running down, he always appear to safe me with his essence, even if I never know him in a presence way.
