I got to tell you that...
I had a dream a couple of days ago...
it didn't seem a dream until I woke up, but anyway...

In the dream I was listening to a new Police song, like I was at the recording sessions...and the song was intitled

REMEMBER (TO)...

The lyrics were all about remembering something...
the bass line was similar to ANOTHER DAY (the b-side of 'If you love somebody' if I don't get wrong...don't remember exactly now).
Stewart played on his typical style, but it wasn't a reggae vibe tune, just a simple 4/4 (with the great drum touches à la Stewart)...
Andy guitar lines were not recorded yet...he was working on it....

Should I also be declared insane now?

No, but I do think you should try to reconstruct what you remember asap...music that comes in dreams is hot, especially dreamed unfinished Police tunes!!! Let us hear...

(I think my favorite is still the one I had five or six months ago, where I met Stewart and Andy at a wedding of someone I didn't know and we had a great time making fun of the tacky decorations...)

i had a police dream where i was in the police dressing room and i was trying to dye sting's hair but he kept saying he wasn't happy with what i was doing for him and that he preferred it as it is now - greying.

Okay, just a dream, but maybe it was unconsciously dicted / influenced by some hot news you're the only one to know at the moment?

Funny, I finally subscribed yesterday to TPT.com and of course have been in the video section... I was thinking, while watching the vids, of a possible new single. Not the A-side, but the B-side: with this incredible sound @ the Vancouver Rehearsals, there is quite a lot of material to use as "unreleased tracks" to put with the new single(s).
Or maybe, to mark this 30th birthday, they could release a limited edition of a mini-LP full of this stuff! Let's keep dreaming!

Apparently, and sadly, it seems it will remain a dream. Just saw this on TPT.com

Some of you may have seen recent media speculation of new Police "demos" and reports of a "new album". We would like to take this opportunity to confirm the accuracy of Roger Friedman's recent story for Fox News in which he reported:

"Meanwhile, rest assured that reports of a new Police album are untrue. Insiders tell me, as this column has reported, there are neither plans for an album of new material nor is there a demo of a new song. The Police are currently rehearsing for their tour in Tuscany, Italy, at Sting's tranquil estate. Songs on the tour are and have always been just from the Police. No new songs and no songs from Sting's solo albums will be included."

What a day! Couldn't get tickets for Torino, and now this! Ouch!

Oh Gio, you tease! I was hoping you had a tidbit of juicy news that you were letting us know about. That song sounds like an awesome idea! Perhaps, you've gotten a premonition of something that might happen? one day? maybe?


Guess we're all going a little stir crazy waiting for the tour to start.

I don't know...anyway, I can record that song for myself, I clearly remember it...
But the guitar parts were not included yet, just a few chords, not that much...got to get back into that dream and go on with the recording session....
...and later on I need to dream it again for the third time to do the mixing...
