It'll be an awesome show. I'd go like a shot, if I hadn't already blown the budget on a bunch of other trips (including several Police-related forays) for the summer.

My only comment is, No Beastie Boys?? I'd think they'd be on this like white on rice.

According to the news posted on the policetour.com page, it looks like the Beastie Boys are doing the London show @ Wembley Stadium.

I gotta tell you...I went to the first "Free Tibet" show back in 1996 or so, at Randalls Island in New York.

It was *a*w*e*s*o*m*e. I have to say the Beasties are one of my all-time favorite live acts.

Egads.

Price range for Live Earth tickets: US $53.00 - US $348.00.

Granted, it's a pretty big bill, so I shouldn't be suprised. But I'd swear that someone on TPT had mentioned that the UK concert was only going to run ~$150 (US). Damn.

Sadly, my concert buddy had to pull out cuz of a wedding. And while I don't mind going to a regular concert alone or an outdoor festival alone, the prospect of spending all day at Giants Stadium alone with nowhere to go and nothing to do but walk round and round the stadium is kinda bleh.

Well, for some odd reason I decided to try my luck at a Live Earth ticket last night to see what kind of singles were available. And now I seem to be in possession of a primo aisle seat in the lower tier near the stage.

So it looks like I may be going to Live Earth.

Over the weekend, I was scheduled for 1 Police show. Now I'm scheduled for 3. Yowza.
