Speculate on how much the boys will get?

I reckon sting will receive 60 million pounds

Stewart and andy 10 million each.

I think that if sting did a solo tour as as many dates he would receive 20 million because he wouldn't be able to sell big stadiums in the same way as the police.

What do you speculate the amount the boys will receive in all from the tour.

I think that the tour isn't just about money for sting. He has accomplished everything he wanted to on his solo albums and things have turned full circle and he fancies linking up with the very people that brought out the best in him and helped him fully realise his potential.

I thought I read somewhere that Sting agreed to split the earnings equally. And aren't they getting 500 million for the tour? I guess that doesn't include tour expenses but still pretty damn good!

there would be the promoters and managers etc that would get a large sum of money too . Not all the profits would go to the band. I'm not sure exactly how it works. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me about these things could explain where the money goes out of the pot.

I suspect all three were set for life at the end of 1983. I don't think any one of them needs the money. So why charge an arm and a leg for tickets? Because they can (i.e. - the demand exists).

I've just done a search on wikipedia and it says synchronicity went platinum x 8. This beats nirvana's nevermind which was x3.

On wikipedia it says outlandos and regatta did poorly in the american album charts reaching in the 20s. In america the police started doing well on zenyatta which was 5 in the album charts.

Seems the yanks only took notice of the police after 1980 and largely ignored their first two albums.

I don't care what they are getting paid - I am just glad they are touring! I missed out the first time round (all those years ago!) so I am ecstatic that I am getting a chance to see them now! YEY!!!
