The Man needs new shirts

Postby bella on 06 Apr 2007 13:56

Anyone ever see "The Fly" with Jeff Goldblum? He is a genius scientist and doesn't have time to bother with fashion, so he has a closet full of the same exact suits, which he wears every day.

That's what this thread reminded me of.

Stew IS a genius, so there's your correlation. 8) Although, hopefully, he won't be turning himself into a grotesque fly anytime soon.

I don't care if he is wearing the same style of shirt over and over and I love the glasses! I know that there are those of you like me who hope that he goes shirtless for the shows! Yes, I can be a bit of a naughty girl!

I'm used to the nerdy 50's frames. But, I prefer the wirerims.
They work better with his coloring. Anyone notice they seem to be the preferred specs of 'mature' rockers...Roger Daltrey, Peter Frampton, Eric Clapton, our own Stewart?

Sting does the same thing. He wore the same outfit to all the lute gigs and interviews. Either he bought several of the same outfit or just kept wearing the same one because he liked it. I think most people wouldn't notice, except for us.

Maybe because they are genious and don´t care too much about new or different fashions...

But if someone is searching to hear good music, does fashion really matters?

You know, I'm not especially concerned about these guys' appearance, but it probably wouldn't hurt Stew to get some contacts and break out a little Grecian Formula. Not for the sake of vanity, but for the sake of not looking old...it would probably help the band's image.

And I bet he can still get in them, the bastard. ;)

I love the black frames, as you've heard me mention...I like that Stewart looks a tad unconventional. He's not like your run-of-the-mill aging rocker...and he's all the better for it, IMO.

I doubt he has most of thoes anymore (not that he couldn't still fit in them!). It wouldn't be hard for him to get some more though.

DirtyM, girrrl! You always get me chuckling.
But seriously, did you notice the shoes he was wearing at the San Jose ES Q&A? :P (I'm kidding people)

Forget the Grecian Formula. I'm diggin' the platinum locks. He doesn't look old! You wanna see old.....look at Keith Richards! I don't think he's as old as Andy but he looks old enough to be Methusula's father.

And, if he had a zillion rolls of 30 year old film in a closet, I wouldn't be surprised if he's got those old T's somewhere. He said he's still got the blue polka dot shirt.

You think Keith Richards was hot?

:?

Definetly, now we have very different tastes about men Mrs. Gradenko.

Anyway, I still remember when both liked and loved the same man:

Mister Gradenko...

Stewart's current look

Postby peacock100 on 07 Apr 2007 04:54

I'm laughing out loud as I read everyone's posts on what Stewart has been wearing... When I saw him last month he looked like your typical hipster dad in his black Converse or maybe they were Vans? Black jeans (low rise) thank gawd he never got a beer gut... and a stripe button down log sleeve shirt untucked with the sleeves rolled up. My male friends dress like this, so it doesn't come off to me as being too out of the ordinary. The hair could probably use a more updated cut, but the color is fine. He's probably just thankful that he's not bald!
