Hard to say, UCLA. Honestly, if I were local to the stadium (and remember this is just me and I'm slightly nuts, but I've done this), I would go over to the venue and sweet-talk someone into letting me check out the space.
But if that's not an option, the best any of us can do is guestimate. At 30 rows back, you're not going to see the cymbals reflect off SC's wirerims [thank you, Samburu, for allowing me to steal that beautiful image], but that doesn't mean you won't see the band and have a great time. The Boys will rock, the crowd will be wild, and the screens will be there to show every wrinkle. Since it sounds like you've got tickets for more than 2 people, there's also the finding-enough-tickets-together issue and the reselling issue (which is its own problem) that you have to take into consideration.
I appreciate the insight, mairinpgh. Unfortunately, the baseball stadium is the only Bay Area show to choose from, so Mount Davis here we come. But thank you for the info -- that's quite helpful.
And GSC, don't worry about the venue details -- sounds like those brain cells are gone already. But I'd love to hear some of those war stories of yours.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.
