New section at SC.net

HI from Giovanni.
We're working on a new great section here at SC.net.

This section will be dedicated to The Police 2007/2008 world tour.

Inspired by the concept of the dvd 'Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out', where Stewart eye plays the leading role being actor and director at the same time, this section will be focused on Stewart activities in The Police, although, of course, the whole band will be featured with news and pics.
This time Stewart eyes will be replaced by the fans efforts (actors and directors), contributing with pics, news while on tour, reports, scans of magazines covers, articles and collector's items such as unique leaflets, folders and all that sort of memorabilia taken at the various shows.

Are you ready to help us? We will include exclusive pics from the fans, Stewart focused of course, such as the ones we received taken outside the Whiskey (thank you again Shelley, your pics are so cool), as well as memorabilia, scans of articles, etc...

We will also have official announcements from promoters of the shows that would like to be included, such as Bonnaroo Festival that sent us the press release of the show; nothing will be done that might be considered in competition with thepolicetour.com (we love the official website and we keep on supporting it as you can read from my personal statements on many messages).
As I said, this new section was inspired by the concept of the dvd, but this time the fans are the directors!
We also like to invite you all to send us pics of you at the shows, maybe outside the venue with THE POLICE mark on your back, maybe the entrance of a stadium with big Police ads or posters, something like that...maybe a group of SC.net forumers pic...I leave you with your creativity, I know you can do a great job!

ARE YOU READY TO HELP US AND MAKE THIS GREAT NEW SECTION A MUST FOR EVERY VISITOR?

It will be on line very soon....we're almost ready with some stuff; the tour hasn't started yet, then you can tell it's just an 'opening act' by now.

Hey Gio - will we be posting files & such here? Or should we keep using Photobucket?

This is totally no big deal, but there may be a way to post photos in our posts by making a couple of small tweaks to the UBB code. But, since most of us know how to use the file hosting sites, it's not urgent.
