Stewart's Police songs live and mix cd

Postby cosplusisin on 29 Mar 2007 17:39

So I made a mix of all the Stewart-written Police songs. I was thinking how they've all got that offbeat feel. Weird, funny, and still really good! I went through the credits of each album and decided to include every song he had anything to do with (not just the ones he completely wrote), so here's what I came up with:

01 Peanuts
02 Regatta de Blanc
03 It's Alright For You
04 Deathwish
05 On Any Other Day
06 Contact
07 Does Everyone Stare
08 Bombs Away
09 The Other Way of Stopping
10 Rehumanize Yourself
11 Darkness
12 Miss Gradenko

Did I miss anything?

I listened to it and it's an awesome mix.

Well anyway, I really hope to hear some of these live. Especially Darkness, The Other Way of Stopping and Does Everyone Stare... oh and On Any Other Day too.... oh and of course, Reggatta de Blanc.

what do you all want to hear?

To be honest, and my opinion only of course, the only track worth playing live there is De Blanc alongside CSLY. The rest strike me as a list of Police songs that should NOT be played live. I would hate to see the Police in concert where they sacrificed the cream of their catalogue for some obscure ditties.

From the list of songs
Peanuts
Reggatta d Blanc
Does Everyone Stare
Rehumanize Yourself
Miss Gradenko

Of course the boys play some of these already but I would love to hear Rehumanize Yourself live and with the tempo a wee bit faster just to kick us into overdrive . Stewart is relentless on that snare WOW !! :) and the lyrics are phenomenal Billys joined the National Front ....... hands in the air with the other......

overdrive stewart overdrive baby with discipline :)

haven't i seen 'rehumanize yerself on the end of the set lists / rehearsal lists?

all of our hero's tunes have an immediacy and a sense of humour which i love; faves? : stay ready, don't care, away from home, on any other day.

Um...I'm not trying to be a jerk about this, really...but you are going to find some folks around here who disagree vehemently. ;)

My problem is I want to hear them ALL. ALL of them! And a bunch of Oysterhead songs too!! And Gizmo...sigh...Good thing life is long, and Stewart is in good health by all appearances....

If they dont play Serengeti Long Walk and the Equaliser theme, I'll need my money back.
Thanks Stewart!
