KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR THE SHORTS...

I bought some white ones off ebay yesterday - not quite Stew-style - kinda 40's/50's, so more Hannah-style! If I see any proper Stew ones in the intervening months I'm still getting them though...

I think Hannaha's style will be great.

>those babies are the universal symbol for Yo, World, Check Out My Ass.

I thought it was more like, "Yo, World... ha their to tite to see my....! Made ya look."
“...and er, did anyone try just pushing this little red button?”

I've been looking high and low for those tube socks, HH. Went to a shop in Chicago I think you'd've liked. (Bought a really cool skull 'n crossbones bag there...)

For tube socks: think along the lines of Kmart, men's section (or boy's if yer feet are small, mine are like 9.5-10s) <grin> it's been a while since I've bought them myself but that's my guess.... :P

Don't I remember you were going to make a skull 'n' crossbones bag? I think I'm sensing a theme . . .

Heh. Yeah...I used to feel a little self conscious about wearing skull jewelry and whatnot, since it seems a little bit like trying too hard to be punk rock, you know? (On some people it looks cool, was just self conscious about self, you know...) But then that motif started showing up in scuba-diving circles - pirates, dontcha know - and I kinda got over it.

I'm going on a liveaboard called Blackbeard's in May and we always have a silly theme party beforehand. Now there's a lot of pirate gear around thanks to the Johnny Depp movie, but we used to have to make our own...

Yeah, I would totally look like I'm trying to hard. But if you like the motif, do it. Screw 'em.

IIRC, the recent movie is supposed to be the last one, so you better stock up on the pirate swag while you still can! I know my local grocery store had Pirates-themed stuff on clearance recently -- if there's anything in particular that you're looking for, let me know.

Heh. Thanks. But I think it'll always be fairly easy swag to get, now that it's caught on in boating/diving circles.

(I read recently they're actually going to raise Blackbeard's boat, the Queen Anne's Revenge, and try to preserve it. Right now it's in shallow water off the coast of North Carolina.)
