I would have to say murder simply because of it's total uniqueness. It's those dissonent chords and cool drumming plus sting sings it really well. I always thought of this as a b side to the ebyt single though and not an official album track, so my best out of the last 3 is O my god for being a simple little groover.
My comfortable existance is reduced to a shallow meaningless party

Hmm.. It must be Murder By Numbers.
Stewart once said this song replaced One World, as his best studio work.
I allways get blown away by Stewarts "grande finale" on Murder.. Damn, he's fast

miss gradenko used to be my favourite song out of these four but oh my god has more longevity and stands the test of time. I don't like murder by numbers and am surprised about how many people like this song.

But i like all five police albums. The first three are the best. The first three is where there is great atmosphere on each album and they enjoy playing together.

I heard the ghost demos and was in shock about how close they are to real thing. I understand when stewart says he just wanted to put his stamp on things but it was harder to do when sting came in with a demo like the final version. But he did put his stamp on things like spirits in the material world and one world and oh my god. He did find a way. And in the end the songs were policified.

I'm firmly in the Oh My God camp as well, however, Gradenko would be a close second :)

Great playing by everyone and as someone else commented, it builds really nicely. Stewart nails it! Stings fretless wiggles its way thru the tune and its classic Andy guitar work, especially cool with the synthy guitar swells in the verses.

Maybe I am out of tune, but I want to tell kitemonkey that your avatar is awesome...

Anyway, Miss Gradenko still winning, in this democratic election...

For me it's got to be Walking in your footsteps. This song played live is a real treat as Stewart plays all these fascinating percussive instruments combined with the atmospheric sounds of Andy's guitar and a walking bass line that makes for a great song. I hope they play this one again when they are on tour. 8)
